Gamespot: GC 2008: MotoGP 08 Impressions

Earlier today Gamespot met with Capcom to check out a number of upcoming games behind closed doors at the Games Convention. Among them was MotoGP 08 which, they are pleased to report, had a much stronger showing at this event than it did at the E3 Media and Business Summit two months ago.

All 18 of the circuits being used in the 2008 MotoGP season will be recreated faithfully in the game, and on this occasion we got to see both Spain's Jerez and Qatar's Losail circuits--the latter of which is relatively undeveloped and located in the middle of a desert.

More often than not, a game of such a style will appeal to people with a genuine interest in the motorsport, and due to its uniqueness, will deter casual gamers. MotoGP 08 however was set to change that, Capcom stating that its multi-tiered riding models would appeal, suit and attract both casual and serious racers alike. But was this enough to bring the game to the masses and revolutionize the genre?"

Too many game sites criticize this series, while it's one of the best motorcycle racing series out there.
