DQ Builders =adrenaline shot to Vita...hope to continue that way

Neonridr3019d ago

well in all fairness the Vita does pretty well in Japan, it is everywhere else it is suffering.

If it wasn't for the Japanese market I think Sony would have buried the Vita by now.

Stealth20k3019d ago

In all fairness Vita is not even doing well in Japan. Neither is 3DS

Neonridr3018d ago

@Stealth - yeah ok, the 3DS has sold more than 20 million units. I'd say that's pretty good.

Sure it hasn't sold as well as the DS did, but the PS4 hasn't sold as well as the PS2 did but that doesn't mean it's a failure. And when the 3DS really only has one other handheld to compare itself to, I would say it's done pretty well.

Thatguy-3103019d ago

They need to bring DQ Builders outside of Japan as well!!!! They're shooting the me eleven in the foot if they don't. It has a lot of potential to hit big.

Can't wait for Dragon Quest XI.

yuukiliu3019d ago

Bought DQB and Odin Sphere(and Tokyo Xanadu) for vita last month. All 3 games are amazing. So many awesome games for vita In Japan.

Stealth20k3019d ago

Vita gets slightly more exclusives in Japan than the rest of the world gets, but it does not change the fact that Vita's library is god awful.

yuukiliu3019d ago

What planet do you live on where the vita has a terrible library of games? Why are you here if you just wanna bash something people enjoy? Such sad people on the Web.

Stealth20k3018d ago

The system has no exclusives......The Vita's library is worse than any Sony system.

Feels strange to release now after Dragon Quest Builders 2 has been available for so many years. It was good for its time, but DQ Builders 2 improved on it in so many ways. I'd have a harder time going back to the first one now.

TGG_overlord126d ago

You are correct...So I don't know the thought proecess behind this move...Besides an easy money grab.

OtterX126d ago

I do hope they make a 3rd in the series, so I'll support this easy money grab. I really enjoyed DQ Builders 2 especially. :)

I'd like to see them bring in more advanced building concepts, like Minecraft's redstone machines. I much prefer playing w non-blocky characters, w this Dragon Quest feel.

UltimateOwnage126d ago

Awesome! I love the first game.

ZeekQuattro126d ago

Odd choice. The sequel is better and more realized in every way.

Red Dead 2 ? Who would ever want to play that slow ass bloated overly long game twice ! Not to mention going through those awfully designed main missions.

Storm23409d ago

Agreed. I couldn't even finish it the first time.

DankSinatra409d ago

I mean, I did. I enjoyed every bit of the 3 times I played through it. Just because you didn’t enjoy it doesn’t mean others won’t. Not every game is for everyone.

Demetrius409d ago

Ikr I thoroughly enjoyed red dead 2 one of the best open world games

Levii_92409d ago

But the first game is one of my favourite games ever.. i have no idea what happend with the second game but Rockstar needs to change it’s game design, especially how those main missions are designed. It’s severly outdated. Oh and actually make the gameplay enjoyable and not so slow and clunky.

Believe me, I recently replayed the first one and it’s worse in both structure and game design. Don’t let nostalgia misplace that. RDR 2 is definitely an improvement but it’s rockstar in general that needs to open up their handholding on missions.

I got almost 700 hrs in that game. so, here is at least one person.

Some games have good incentives for multiple playthroughs but you can never beat experiencing it for the first time. Caelid for the first time? Mindblowing. Second time around it's just Caelid again.

Abear21409d ago

Bioshock, Skyrim, and Darkest Dungeon for me

gold_drake409d ago

definitely the Soul games and Bloodborne haha.
