Black Desert Online Lowers Cash Shop Prices for Launch Following Community Outcry

Daum Games Europe has announced that the prices of certain items will be lowered for launch, and a sale for a limited time.

So what do people make of BDO? It looks interesting but doing a B2P launch for a f2p game in other regions is certainly eyebrow raising.

Character creator is great, everything else is 'meh'. In 3 to 6 months it'll be free2play. Especially when everyone knows it's f2p in Russia and Korea. Launching on the heels of Blade and Soul isn't going to help them much either.

Is BnS considered a better game then? I played that for a while and loved the combat but too many elements left much to be desired and quit by around level 35.

B&S is garbage compare to BDO, there is nothing to do in B&S other than spam instants & arena at end game that's it, if I write every single thing you can do in BDO the list is going to be fcking huge so I'm not gonna do it, also BDO is a seamless open world game, there is no loading screens anywhere you can ride your horse from one side of the map to the other, B&S is a corridor game full of loading screens, also B&S is a 4+ year old game with outdated visuals that look like crap today, BDO look stunning & there was never a world that feel so alive on any other MMORPG before, the detail on everything is mindblowing & that weather system is fcking awesome!

They should have sold it like a regular game like ESO decided to do and make up the subscription for micro transactions because a F2PMMO still needs to make money some how. The game looks amazing but there marketing team could do better.

Had nothing to do with community outcry. It's a basic pricing strategy, list a higher price than what you really are going to charge and then lower it shortly thereafter to give the appearance of a 'deal'.
