Phantasy Star Online 2 PS4 Closed Beta Started; Watch the Super-Deep Character Creation

Phantasy Star Online 2 is probably one of Sega’s most painful broken promises. Several years ago Sega announced a western release that even has a fairly dead official website, and then completely forgot its existence.

Yet, the game is continuing a successful career in Japan, where the closed beta on PS4 started just yesterday.

So Sega doesn't need our support ... fine.

That's pretty awesome. Man, PSO just screams dreamcast nostalgia for me... I really wish this would come out in the west...I'd get it in a heart beat.

This game is great! I play it off and on whenever there's anew event going on. I don't know why sega refuses to release this to the west, it's like they're allergic to money or something.

Didn't know people still played this game

Jiub1026d ago

Fewer people for certain but still a lot of people.

gleepot1026d ago

Nah, I'll keep playing the game with the millions of other people. The writing on the wall says "game is not dead" even though people have claimed it is for 15 years.

Jiub1026d ago

I'd guess that people are going to filter out but then come back for the next expac when the turmoil is over. I do worry about content delays, though.
