'Fire Emblem Fates' review: fated as one of the 3DS’ best titles in 2016 - Examiner

The fate of the Fire Emblem series was in question not long ago, but the 3DS was able to awaken new life for the franchise in 2012/2013 with the release of Fire Emblem: Awakening. With the series given new hope and new opportunity for success, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems struck while the iron was hot and forged a new installment for Nintendo 3DS - Fire Emblem Fates. Broken up into three distinct narratives, players will be faced with the daunting task of choosing to align themselves with their blood family (Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright), the only family they have ever known (Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest) or neither (Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation).

This is officially my favorite game of all time.

Even better than Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate...

DivineAssault 3029d ago

I really want this game but im not buying it unless i find the special edition.. Nintendo is so damn shady with stocking stuff like that & best buy canceled my pre order.. Im not giving nintendo my money unless i get what i ordered.. Scalping scumbags are over charging way too much for it..

addictedtochaos3029d ago

More like Best Buy is shady for taking more pre-orders than their allotted stock.

DivineAssault 3028d ago

That too but nintendo didnt make enough just like majoras mask CE on 3DS.. People that work cant sit by a computer trying to order a game that sells out in a hour or so. Plus they have no limits on the amounts people can buy so scalpers buy 100 or so then sell em for ridiculous prices

I have Fire Emblem Fates LE, the European one. Not sure if it's as valuable as the US version, but it certainly was in high demand.

Don't think the European one would be as valuable since it's not region free. I got mine box and all and all those Yokai Watch games

Nyxus136d ago

I also have some of the Yokai Watch games, but also the PAL versions which don't seem to be that valuable.

Its not often I actually have games on the 'most expensive list' but I do own Rhythm Thief and Layton vs. Ace Attorney. I believe both of them are sealed as well.

Nice! Hopefully they re-release the Layton games on the Switch. Surprised they haven't already

Fire Emblem Fates and Fire Emblem: Three Houses both contain multiple routes that change the outcome of the story, but the 3DS games far outperform the most recent Fire Emblem game in regard to routes. classes, and difficulty levels.
