They'll be revealed during their E3 conference.

Abriael3014d ago

Seems a little early for that, since he said they'll talk about that at a "much future date," E3 is 4 months away.

-Foxtrot3014d ago

Whenever it is I hope Elder Scrolls VI is one of them and is set in a joint region of Valenwood and Elsweyr

UncertainCategory3014d ago

That would be amazing. I've been hoping for the same exact scenario.

-Foxtrot3014d ago

Best scenario because the regions they have left to do aren't very big so it would be best to combine them.

Combing Valenwood and Elsweyr would probably be roughly the same size as Skyrim, if not a little more

Plus it means a lot of variation in not only the surrounding area but also the architecture, culture, music and wildlife. You would literally see it change you cross the river/border into the other region.

UncertainCategory3014d ago

Not to mention the rising conflict between the Dominion and the rest of Tamriel was not resolved in Skyrim.

Summerset isles are right off the coast of Valenwood. So it puts you straight in the crosshairs.

It's kind of perfect. Hopefully you're on point with this.

-Foxtrot3014d ago (Edited 3014d ago )

That's another thing.

Summerset Isle could be an expansion if they wanted. I say expansion because I don't think they could do a huge map and then another one. It would be better if the island was DLC where we head to finish the Dominion off after the main quest line. Maybe in this game we end the Dominions hold on Tamriel.

My Idea

DragonKnight3013d ago

The map doesn't need to be massive to be good. Bigger doesn't always mean better, it could just as easily mean too much time traveling not enough time doing. I mean, Valenwood may be smaller, but it's also dense with living forests. It doesn't have to be big.

Conversely, Elsweyr is mostly desert, thus not really inspiring. How many people have played countless RPGs with desert areas and just really hated the desert area in general?

They just need to make the location interesting and unique, not arbitrarily big.

Obsidian collab Fallout? Mmmmmmmmmm :))))

vickers5003013d ago

Agreed. I loved New Vegas faction system.

Paytaa3014d ago

Fallout: New Orleans.

Imagine that.

Rayven3013d ago

No Fallout please. Just do elder scrolls, Fallout 4 was simply a big dissapointment compared to Bethesda's last few games; Fallout 3, New Vegas, Oblivion and Skyrim.

ApolloTheBoss3014d ago (Edited 3014d ago )

A new IP is welcome, but give us Elder Scrolls first.

Austin483014d ago

Great can't wait to see there next games I always love me some single player story games.😃

TeamLeaptrade3014d ago

I would love a new Elder Scrolls or a new IP as well. Would be nice to see them do something completely new.

Todd Howard Has No Plans to Retire, Open to Other Studios Making Fallout Games

In a recent interview, Todd Howard revealed that he has no plans to retire and reiterated Bethesda's openness to help from other studios.

DOMination-19d ago

Oh great, now we have to deal with Anasts Bethesda fetish indefinitely.

Thanks a lot, Todd

anast19d ago

You're welcome for the free entertainment. Usually, it comes at a cost of $70 because of inflation.

Crows9019d ago

That's an inflated price...

anast19d ago (Edited 19d ago )

@Crows

It would be if it weren't a valuable resource.

mastershredder19d ago

"with no plans to retire anytime soon" I mean this is like a common news topic involving his name. Knock it off and do some actual newsing. This is like the biggest "No Duh" article of the day, and several sites had to regurgitate it. Geez. So lame.

"Batman. I like the idea that if I had enough money, time, and vengeance, I could become him." - Todd Howard

This is when he'll retire.

nmbr1esq19d ago

He doesn't have to retire, just the stupid outdated garbage creation engine.

Kados19d ago

Netimmerse 4.0, presumably 5.0 for TES6. They should give the Fallout IP to Obsidian, and have it made in UE5.

Im glad he leaving. Bethesda has been terrible under his leadership. Redfall, Starfield, Fallout76 and the list goes on an on. His leadership style is outdated. Hopefully, MS bring someone in that knows what they are doing.

RhinoGamer88217d ago

I will give you Fallout 76, but Redfall and Starfield's blame needs to fall somewhat on the terrible Xbox publishing team. With all their resources and supposed smarts...they fungled it.

VenomUK217d ago

@Mika He’s the communications guy - you can’t blame him for the quality of the product.

jznrpg217d ago

Maybe they can go to their earlier purchases for replacements . Like Rare devs , Gear devs or 343, one of the very few studios they built up and man they are great.

Crows90217d ago

That could work ...if MS knew what they were doing themselves ...

But let's be real. Xbox was in charge of redfall and Starfield. They just don't know what a good game looks like.

RhinoGamer88217d ago

I interviewed at Bethesda once, and while there were some very smart mid level team members, the upper ranks (EP/VP/Studio Head) were a total boys' club. The Madmen series ego in that lunch was stiffling.

Pete Hines was against locking out the majority of their console playerbase (ps gamers). Probably disgusted at the hypocrisy of white knight Phil assuring PS gamers that they can still play COD. Acquisition goes through, Hines goes out.

Goodbye Pete.

gold_drake217d ago

i wonder if he was asked to leave.

im pretty sure not everyone was on board with the acquisition.

Profchaos216d ago

Pretty much everyone outside of Todd has made snide comments against the acquisition but money talks

They could have at least added DLSS at launch...

Obscure_Observer235d ago

"They could have at least added DLSS at launch..."

Bethesda has a marketing agreement with AMD, so it´s nothing but expected that DLSS wouldn´t even be mentioned by them, specially at launch.

On topic: According to Todd Howard himself, it´s original release was planned to happen in 2021, but thanks to the acquisition by Xbox, Todd and his team was allowed 2 extra years to release the game in a far better shape.

Starfield is the most polished game ever released by Bethesda! Hopefully, TESVI´s release will be even better!

Cockney235d ago

Pretty good place for a Bethesda game.. there you go fixed it

Armaggedon234d ago

Ambitious games have bugs. Cant play Baldurs gate 3 without running into a bug, but nobody brings it up. Great game by the way,

Elda235d ago

I took a break from playing due to other games releasing but Starfield definitely has its pain in the ass bugs & glitches.

gigoran8234d ago

sure. thanks to the team I only have to restart the game 3 times to make the dialogue audio work, and that's after 2 patches. Thanks team

Fonsecap234d ago

... and modders thank you very much.
