Evan says, "In theory, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime sounds like the perfect game for me. It’s partially a Rogue-Lite, couch co-op space shooter with a thick layer of cuteness to wrap it all up. I’m really big on Rogue-like games; The Binding of Isaac being my favorite. While Lovers never commits, it does share some of those qualities. However, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is, for the most part, a cutesy space shooter that’s very much meant to be played as a couch co-op game. At its peak, it’s a hectic, fast paced, lovable bundle of an 8 hour shooter, and at its base, it’s an occasionally bland, repetitive “one and done” type of shooter."
