Great news!

I am still buying it for the Xone for that sweet Alan Wake for free that comes with it.

freshslicepizza3009d ago

do they sell the xbox one white controller separately?

DarkOcelet3009d ago

I honestly dont know but it would be awesome if its sold separately.

And that XboxOne looks sexy.

Emilio_Estevez3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

Go with the Lunar white controller if you want a white one. It has gaudy gold accents, but also has the grips and the headphone jack. Good buy for only slightly more than a regular controller. Highly recommended.

Gazondaily3009d ago

Massive blow to the X1 imo

ThePope3009d ago Show
Outside_ofthe_Box3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

Didn't expect this-- at least not XB1 and PC versions releasing at the same time. Makes you wonder about Scalebound and others.

@ThePope

The difference is you knew SFV was coming to PC from the jump. Can you tell me for certain that prior to today you knew QB was coming to PC never mind the same day as the XB1 version?

Had someone claimed that prior to today they would be labeled as a troll whom suddenly has a beefy PC at the ready at his/her convenience. If UC4 was suddenly announced as coming to PC people would be saying it's a massive blow too. Why? Because it was unexpected.

EDIT: @ your edit lmfao: Proved my point about the suddenly owning a PC rig thing.

Palitera3009d ago

@ThePope:

The problems is not that it happens. It is that it happens all the time. The "exclusives" are X1 and PC almost always, so it dims the reasons for owning a X1.

I'll sell mine and use the money on a PC, where I'll be able to run almost every big game on the X1 and also work. As said, having a console loses a big selling point if there are little to no exclusives.

ThePope3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

@Outside

Whether you knew SF was coming to PC from the start doesn't matter. NO one in the Comment section was saying that the PS4 release of the game now meant nothing since its coming to PC. They are saying that about this game as if no one will buy it for X1.

Whenever someone trys to say they are getting a game on PC over the PS4 people go crazy and say how no one cares about the "PC master race" and how much better it is to game on the couch.

NOW here we sit and everyone all of a sudden cares about PC! its the only way to game! When in truth it just allows people to take a dig at the X1

Seriously man are you new here???

ALSO every remedy game has come to PC so is it really that odd??

Eonjay3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

Why did they wait to the very last minute to announce a PC version?

@Septic

it really depends on how you think about it. As I said below, I was seriously thinking about getting an Xbox One to play this until about 25 minutes ago. I have a PC. You guys know that. So, why do I need to spend $350 when... so yeah I get that (R9 280 + FX8320), but what of the game itself. If the game is good on PC its will still be good on Xbox.

And what if the game reaches more hands because its on PC... isn't that a good thing. Whats good for Xbox may not always be good for developers but whats good for developers in this case is also good for Xbox.

Rookie_Monster3009d ago

Great news. The XB1 version grant a free PC version as well and cross saves and a free Alan Wake BC game. I am glad this is on PC also.

gatormatt803009d ago

I wonder if MS decided to release on PC at the same time because they are worried that they won't recoup their investment in the game with the X1 version alone.

darthv723009d ago

With the direction MS is going I truly believe that if the next xbox is released it will be able to play the same games as the PC. Meaning 1 copy of a game is interchangeable between their PC OS and console OS. Creating a seamless echo system. One disc or download needed and you can play on both.

In fact, with the similarities of the hardware i am surprised someone hasnt come up with a game that you could pop into a PS4 AND XB1 and play. I mean they are virtually the same and the media is capable of holding the game content that can adapt to the slight differences in the architecture. Just like on a PC where a single game is designed to be accommodating to varying hardware.

It can't really be that difficult to do on a single disc in today's technology.

Gazondaily3009d ago

@Eonjay

"Why did they wait to the very last minute to announce a PC version? "

Because they had to sneak the news out without doing too much damage. That's literally the reason why. its obvious. Why else would they announce it in such a casual manner?

MS themselves are aware of how much this busts up the X1.

yeahright23009d ago

@Pope

I did actually just buy a gaming PC. Got it just a couple weeks ago in fact. So cming from someone with my perspective (owning PS4, X1, PC, and Wii U) I can say that issue is that there are very few true X1 exclusives. If you already own a PC, not much reason to get an X1. You can grab a Wii U and get all the Mario's and Xenoblades and Bayonettas out there, or you can grab a PS4 and snag the Bloodbornes, Uncharteds and Infamous's out there but on X1 the pickins' are so slim, I wouldn't recommend picking one up if you already own a PC. Now if you don't, I'd recommend it in a heart beat if you looking to get one.
People can look at that as a massive blow to xbox if they like. But I remember Spencer talking about taking care of PC gamers to rebuild a relationship with them, and not locking them out of certain titles I feel is a part of keeping that promise.

tuglu_pati3009d ago

This was expected, as game like Gears 4 and Scalebound will follow suit

Eonjay3009d ago

@Septic

But... isn't Phil Spencer also in charge of Microsoft's PC gaming division? What is he supposed to do? And remember for the longest time people were complaining that Microsoft was flat out ignoring PC. I understand the argument against losing Xbox exclusives as a motive to purchase the machine... everyone gets that, but he is supposed to be supporting both platforms anyway.

Gazondaily3009d ago

@eonjay

"What is he supposed to do? And remember for the longest time people were complaining that Microsoft was flat out ignoring PC."

Yeah but this goes back to your original question'; why wait till the last minute to announce it?

He shouldn't be shying away from showing PC support. Its not as if they made QB for PC in a day; it must have been in development for it on day one.

I imagine this announcement was seen as a ticking time bomb at MS HQ in the grand scheme of things. The way they've announced it makes no sense.

super_bruno3009d ago

Do this means that the gameplay shown today was from the PC version?

Kingthrash3603009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

Wow I bought a xbox because of this game. And I will still buy it for my xbox. But if I was a pc gamer I'd get the pc version of the game.
Man I really thought this would be xbox ones first AAA exclusive that was born on XB1. It's not super bad but are all XB1 exclusive not gunna be exclusive anymore?
Also was all the game play shown really a pc version??
The sudden news raises so many questions.
Like its looking more and more like xbox will become a pc thing. This may well be the last physical xbox. All its exclusive games coming to pc like this us pointing to this. Making xbox games also available on pc give people less reason to buy a xbox. Hope I'm wrong but this is just another coin in the bucket pointing to this.

darthv723009d ago

Personally I don't have a gaming PC (not currently up to snuff anyway) nor do I have the XB1. Now I could go out and buy the parts to build (upgrade is not an option with my dinosaur) a new PC. And looking at the parts that would be in my budget I would say it's not worth it at this time.

Now shelling out $400 for an XB1 would yield me the opportunity to play the current set of games including this one as well as whatever else gets released for it. I may be in the minority but unless something like Half Life 3 gets announced then there really is no reason for me to go back down the PC road anytime soon.

Consoles (and their games) are more attainable to me so that's why I choose that road instead.

xHeavYx3009d ago

I wonder how much the PC version will cost. People can just pre-order the X1 version and sell it once they get their free PC version. Doesn't sound like a smart move.

AngelicIceDiamond3009d ago

But yet MS were nazi's and aren't in touch with the PC community anymore when they neglected PC last gen. MS delivers on this promise of better PC support. The funny thing is the ppl who are disagreeing are "hurt" or maybe to troll but this was MS plan all along. This takes nothing away from me as an X1 gamer. Damn if they do, damned if they don't. They have a bundle out so more the merrier for X1.

TFJWM3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

@xHeavYx You only get the Windows 10 copy for free with digital orders so that is not an issue.

"Anyone who pre-orders the Xbox One digital version of Quantum Break through the Xbox Store, purchases an Xbox One digital token at participating retailers, or pre-orders an Xbox One Special Edition Quantum Break bundle, will receive the Windows 10 version of the game downloadable at the Windows Store via redemption code.*"

As for price I hope its like RotTR and i get it for $10

JasonKCK3009d ago

Xbox or Windows. I don't think MS really cares which platform you buy it on since they make both.

You still have to own an Xbox, and you still have to own Windows 10.

Docknoss3009d ago

This is a massive money maker for MS. More money picked this fiscal year will help MS put more money into exclusives games and exclusive content in the future.

_-EDMIX-_3009d ago

But its not going to happen guys, MS said so /s

So how many times do we need to do this to understand its not some special case?

http://www.pcgamer.com/why-...

Phil's own comments are saying they are not happening as of yet only due to him starting work as head of XB during those games developments.

Its literally him saying its only not that way right now because I didn't have a say in it as head.

Soooooooo what do you guys REALLY think that means in regards to it coming to PC? I called this a mile away because of what Phil's statements have been along with the rest of MS. Many on here have made great comments regarding how much more money software makes then hardware and though I believed exclusives sold more consoles at one point, those comments with real numbers, logic etc showed otherwise by a massive amount.

I went from this will hurt MS, to this will HELP MS! I changed my mind based on many great users on this site that had nothing but logic to show how its helping them, not hurting them.

More software sales, more money for MS, more chances of a sequel and MOST are not buying XONE's just for exclusives, lets say they would have....if they buy it on PC, they are still giving MS money, win, win.

never4get3008d ago

Windows 10, Xbox One Exclusive.

It's not coming to linux, IOS, Windows 7/8.
Official PC System Requirements DX12-Only.

mikeslemonade3008d ago

Wow are all the exclusives really going to PC. I have Quantam preordered for X1 but I'm gonna cancel it now. And I may even sell the X1 because its Crackdown and Scalebound or nothing in the X1.

That is great news!. Def get on PC, knew this news was coming, already have Alan Wake on Steam, so that doesn't bother me.

mcstorm3009d ago

I think this is great news and I also think is MS looking at the last QB game sales PC/360 and also TR sales to. I also think this is the start of MS making Windows 10/Gaming and Xbox closer.

christocolus3009d ago

@Darkocelet

Awesome deal. Alan Wake is an amazing game. You will enjoy it.

DarkOcelet3009d ago

I loved Alan Wake and played it over 6 times now.

But i just want to play it again :) Its one of my favorite games last gen and i am so glad i get to play it again on XboxOne for free :)

FITgamer3009d ago

I just recently got Alan Wake on Steam for $3 dollars. Really need to find time to play it.

DarkOcelet3009d ago

This game is a must play my friend. I loved every moment of it.

Go and play it right now!

Kingthrash3603009d ago

Alan wake was a great game....but it's was like a 8. Honestly.

IIFloodyII3009d ago

They are doing a deal where if you pre-order the digital Xbox version from the MS Store, you get the PC version too. That's what I'm doing.

FlipSwitch3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

And thats it. There is really no point in buying an Xbone now. Most people have a pc capable of playing video games on at least low settings. There is no need for an Xbone any more.

There is currently only 1 and a half exclusives this year for Xbone (gears 4 and crackdown multiplayer). To be honest i'm expecting Gears 4 to go to PC also.

It's unbelievable how few exclusives the Xbone actually has.

And Microsoft have lied yet again. How many times have they claimed QB is an xbox one exclusive?

RiseofScorpio3009d ago

Iv made a few too many comments on this topic, but I hope Spencer comes to his senses and stops this dumb "Windows10 ecosystem" initiative before the damage is too severe.

Volkama3009d ago

I agree, it is pretty cool that Microsoft just saved you $300 or whatever an XBox One costs these days. Kudos to them for a decision that is great for gamers!

Right?

This is pretty frustrating to me because Quantum Break was one of the reasons I purchased an Xbox One.

I don't regret buying the Xbox One now but I probably wouldn't have done it had Microsoft been up front about Quantum Break coming to PC.

UKmilitia3009d ago

well the money i save buying a console to play this i will just spend a bit less and get my pc the new graphics card i been wanting.

thanks MS

I don't buy that it no good for the xbox tripe people keep spitting out like they know the ins and outs of other buying habits . How many people have pc's capable of running this game and are then serious gamers and probaly won't buy an xbox anyway so if any one wants to play this then getting an xbox is the easiest option. Stop all this bull fanboys wars and just enjoy what platform you play.

TheDivine3009d ago Show
rainslacker3009d ago

I dunno. I brought an X1 for Quantum Break. I already had a capable PC, but will still probably get it for the X1 because I just prefer playing on consoles.

I don't know if it's a console killing announcement, but I do think that if I were that interested, and had waited to buy an X1 for the game instead of getting it last year, I probably would just go for the PC version because there isn't enough other stuff other than QB to push me into wanting one, although there is enough with QB right now to have made me buy one on the prospect.

I can only speak for myself of course. If I were opting for a PC version with no X1 available to me, then I would probably just end up skipping it until it went on sale and I likely brought it on impulse.

_-EDMIX-_3009d ago

Most are not buying it for those exclusives though. On N4G people have this idea that everyone is only play exclusives and many on here really need to look at the numbers to show otherwise.

Fallout 4 did like 12 million
Battlefront did like 13 million
COD Black Ops 3 don't have the numbers right now but read it did more then most games last year if not the best selling last year.

But that goes to show you....MOST do not buy consoles for exclusives.

Yet Forza did like 2 million, Bloodborne did like 2 million.

So its sorta showing you in the massive amount, not as much consoles are really selling for just exclusives, even if we want to pretend 1 gamer bought 1 exclusive game per console, it still wouldn't make sense.

This won't hurt MS, it will help them as any lost hardware sale will turn into software sales on PC anyway. Thus...win win.

@Waluigi- Soooo you ready to understand what I've been saying all along or nah?

This helps MS more then hurts as software makes more money then hardware.

Even if you want to make it seem as if its hurting them, what has Halo 5 or the last Forzas done for XONE in terms of sales?

So don't make money on PC? Why though? Windows 10 is still MS's platform.

Errorist763008d ago (Edited 3008d ago )

Well.. you all fell for the Microsoft marketing machinery. They simply don't play fair. Never did. Never will.

Sheikh Yerbouti3008d ago

^^^^^^^

This guy gets it. Licensing of software is the reason they make consoles. PC or consoles, they bank because it Window for Pete's sake. Plus they offer plenty incentives to get it on the X1 since more money's on the console side.

UltraNova3008d ago

@Sheikh Yerbouti

Exactly. And why does nobody question this move beyond the realm of exclusivity? I mean they definitely knew that this sudden announcement would cause controversy, something the xb1 doesn't need any more of so why do it like this? Why not announce the PC version until after the xb1 release 6 month down the line?

I cant help but wonder about the actual quality of the game itself. Is it possible that risking the way they did, was because they wanted to get as many sales as possible on day 1 before everyone read reviews or peoples opinions on the game after release?

I'll be watching for review embargo dates just to make sure.

That said, I have to admit that I agreed with MS new-found support for PC users, but this is wrong. They will cannibalize the xb1's appeal as the term exclusive will no longer hold any water.

They should have released the game on xb1 first. Then announce the PC version will be released 6 months down the line, how hard is this?

+ Show (10) more repliesLast reply 3008d ago

You also get the Windows 10 version with cloud saves if you buy the Xbox One version. This game will not be on sSteam. This should be headline news here.

RedCloud883009d ago

I really don't understand how cross platform save files and the inclusion of the pc version with the purchase of the digital xbox one version isn't being talked about more.

badz1493009d ago

@343_Guilty_Spatk

Not every digital copy comes with the free Win10 version. Only if you pre-order. If you buy it physically or digitally after release, no free Win10 vrsion for u.

Not exactly crossbuy but rather just a pre-order bonus.

I_am_Batman3009d ago

I knew it. Remedy has a history of releasing their titles on PC. Good to hear that this is no exception.

curtis923009d ago

This implies that you COULD buy it for PC... but are swayed to get the XBO version because it comes with a 360 version of AW. Wha? If you have a PC, you can pretty much always find AW for $3-$5. Also it'll actually run well. If you only have an XBO then nevermind, carry on. But if you have the PC, the 360 version of a AW seems a silly reason to go with the inferior version of QB.

DarkOcelet3009d ago

Well, the good news is that its Cross buy so i can get both versions if i bought the digital XboxOne version so its a win win for me :)

yeahright23009d ago

If you buy the digital copy of the X1 version, don't you get the superior PC version as well, combined with Alan wake, which will most likely be backwards compatible with X1 as another possible perk?
X1 digital version seems like the best bet to me.

Live action trailer looks interesting. Wonder how the public will receive it?

Does anyone know if the show will be released simultaneously with the game in both US and UK? Or is the show coming out later on, on its own?

I'm sticking with my prediction that this is Microsoft's strategy to get folks back into PC gaming. Especially once they see QB side by side on PC and X1 and the PC version running at higher res and I presume higher frame-rate.

DarkOcelet3009d ago

The show is in the game.

Its part of the game, instead of cutscenes, the 20 minute episode should play.

I remember reading there is five 20 minutes episodes

CartBlanche3009d ago

@DarkOcelet I thought the idea was that you could influence the outcome of the show, is what I remember it being touted as.
So this now just means the game just cuts to part of FMV depending on the choices you make in the game. Not what I was thinking at all. I must have totally misunderstood everything about the game/TV tie-in. Well show really as no TV is/on-air thing actually happens.

Maybe I should have paid more attention.

OpieWinston3009d ago

Paul Serene is the Villain... You play him at the END of each In Game episode(Chapter) and that decides how the live action episode plays out.

OC_MurphysLaw3009d ago

Not only do you get the Alan Wake game via BC but also ....you get the PC version included if you buy the xbox one version:

DarkOcelet3008d ago

PreOrder the digital XboxOne version you get..

Two Copies of Quantum Break, 1 for Xone and 1 for PC.

Alan Wake with all the dlc. And Alan Wake American Nightmare.

That is like 150$ games for the price of 60$.

So if you preorder Quantum Break for the XB1 you not only get the PC version for FREE, but also Alan Wake (plus the DLC) and Alan Wake American Nightmare to boot. That's a sweet deal right there. My issue is that they announced the games as XB1 exclusive, marketed it as XB1 only for 3 years, only to announce it for PC 2 months from release. What games are next Scalebound, Gears 4, Crackdown ? A console should have true exclusives (not just Halo 5 and Forza)!

curtis923009d ago

it's still a game that's exclusively for MS systems. Whether MS made the box or not is irrelevant.

PhucSeeker3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

Volkama3009d ago

So you are not going to buy this for PC?

NeoGamer2323009d ago

I think this is good for gamers.

Buy the devices you want but still be able to play all the games you like. That's a win-win. All games should ship on several platforms. Pure exclusives are bad for gamers and black mail you to buy a specific device.

I would love to play Uncharted 4, Bloodborne and many other Sony exclusives, but I am not going to buy a PS4 again. I have a consumer issue with Sony that they did not resolve to my satisfaction. So, I miss out on the games, Sony misses out revenue from me. It is a lose-lose.

OC_MurphysLaw3009d ago

@Waluigi_isunderrated.... if you buy the xbox one version you will get Alan Wake via BC and you will get a Windows 10 download code.... so buying the Xbox One version is by far the best value. http://news.xbox.com/2016/0...

dkp233009d ago

Ms owns Xbox. Ms owns win 10. This is an exclusive to ms platforms. Ms doesn't care how you play it as long as you play it.

That is their strategy

trainsgofast3009d ago

How's that FH2 on that PC? How about that Halo5 on that PC? Wait how is Forza 6 running on that PC of yours? I get it XB1 will be the same as the PC game at 1080p 30fps.

JeffGUNZ3009d ago

I think people are missing MS big picture down the road. They are showing, by pushing for always online, and PC/X1 game releases that next gen console will be a hybrid like device. Something you buy a game digitally to your MS account and can launch it on whatever MS compatible device that has Windows 10, etc. They are building an ecosystem where one purchase will get you the experience eon whatever you own that supports to OS. Think about it, how many console gamers, like me and lot of people on here, have zero interest to buy a good gaming rig? Why not rope them all in under on OS and one ecosystem? It's brilliant if they are able to pull this off.

Unspoken3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

Perfect! You'll get Windows 10 and have Xbox Live. MS is renewing PC gaming and it's a win win. Low end gaming system will be on console/hybrid pc. High end gaming for PC. Enable cross play. Ouch!

PS4 owners are convincing themselves that it's great for PS4. This is amazing!

Windows will have Oculus and Vive too, eliminating any perceived "advantage" PS4 has.

Guyfamily9993009d ago

Yeah haha, they may make more in software sales but Microsoft has to be careful with exclusives, they MATTER.

_LarZen_3009d ago

Console owners still get their games. It only matters to fanboys if the games comes to other platforms.

mocaak3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

@_LarZen_

You sure about that? I own PS4 and a powerful PC, and am interested in Quantum Break and Recore, for which I should have bought an Xbox One to play. But now there is no reason for me to get XOne to play those games, since they are coming to PC. Which overall gives me less reasons to buy an Xbox.

Honestly from upcomming games that are still exclusive, I'm only interested in Gears 4. And from released, I would only get Forza games and Sunset Overdrive.

Unspoken3009d ago

What operating system is your PC running? What's Microsoft primary business platform? Hmmm

Bdub20003009d ago

I still don't get what Microsoft's angle is with putting all X1 "exclusives" on PC? That's gotta affect X1 sales.

If I was buying a console today, I'd go Ps4 and PC combo too. other than my X1 friends community I guess...

Kribwalker3009d ago

Ps4 and PC combo still makes MS money. They don't make much on the consoles, but they make a tonne on licensing, so why not license on both your platforms

dkp233009d ago

Because they make money on pc sales too. Three make more money in win 10 adoption too. It's a pretty simple concept.

rainslacker3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

MS makes their money on the store fees they charge for Windows. I wouldn't expect to see cross buy for titles from Steam/Xbox titles. This not only helps push Win10 as a one platform, but also their own storefront, and it's actually a smart business move to help adoption of their Windows Store, because GFW was a complete bust for them that many gamers were not eager to support.

In the long run, should MS make this more a common thing, it provides added value for many gamers, and that could give them the edge they need, and it could bring in new ways to adopt digital content which MS actually wants..and what they should have done before trying to make it common practice.

I dunno how it will all play out here in the long run...no one does. Only MS knows their long term plans here. It could be the start of a new release model, or it could just be a flash in the pan that MS gives up due to publishers not being interested, or it not achieving the desired results. Just think of how exciting cross-buy was when announced for PlayStation, then remember how few big AAA games actually received such treatment.

Damn. Awesome news. Now they just have to make Gears for PC and i'm set.

Hopefully it's available on steam.

Christopher3009d ago

You can still import to Steam as any other non-Steam game can now.

VJGenova3009d ago

Are those codes tied to your gamertag? Like can someone resell one of those keys, or gift it to a friend? If ao, there's going to be a ton of them available.

crazychris41243009d ago

Gears, scalebound, quantum break and more coming to PC?? That's awesome.

LP-Eleven3009d ago

Nah, those were errors. It's ReCore (already confirmed), Sea of Thieves, and Fable: Legends (already confirmed).

jb2273009d ago

Everyone also confirmed that the Brazil listing of QB on PC was an error. That's the main issue I have w/ the nature of the announcement. Great that QB is going to PC but MS has blatantly held that info back until 2 months from release in order to push console sales through the holidays by omitting the facts at best and outright lying at worst. It would be the definition of insanity to just assume that any upcoming XBO exclusive is going to stay that way after today's events. MS needs to clear the decks & be upfront, come out tomorrow & tell everyone which XBO exclusives are also being developed for PC as of right now. These games are absolutely worthy of grabbing a console for if you prefer console gaming, but how many people are out there w/ capable PCs that they prefer to game on who only grabbed an XBO based off of staunch confirmations from MS themselves that these titles would only release on the XBO?

Tsunade3009d ago (Edited 3009d ago )

That's not awesome for the xbox console. A console must have its exclusives games but judging the current bad position of the Xbox one I guess they don't care.

Volkama3009d ago

The Xbox One doesn't have feelings, so it's OK.

TheManicCoder3009d ago

At the end of the day, its a "Microsoft" Exclusive. Specifically, this is a Windows 10 and Xbox One exclusive. Microsoft isn't competing with their own products here. It's really a brilliant move to be honest, especially considering the amount of PC gamers. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future you unify your purchases and can play on both Xbox One and PC with a single purchase, or buy the full game on the console and pay a discounted price for the PC license and vice versa. At the end of the day, Microsoft still makes money with licensing and people get to enjoy their games.

RedDevils3008d ago

@Volkama but xbox fanboys do :(

UKmilitia3009d ago

recore,sea of thieves,QB was the 3 games i wanted xb1 for lol.
oh well.

XanderZane3008d ago

I'm still getting them all on my XB1 and millions of other gamers will do the same. Been playing Fable Legends for several months on my XB1 already. Don't care if it's coming to the PC. It's cross-play anyways. None of these games will be on PS4 or Wii U. I think that's all that matters to Microsoft. It's like Sony releasing The Last of Us on PS3 & PS4. It's not on PC or Wii U either. Microsoft sees PC as part of their property because their O/S runs on most of them.

While there’s likely already a list behind closed doors, one can still speculate and offer logical suggestions for titles new and old that should find their way into the PlayStation and Switch libraries.

Single A games and live service games. Those make sense

S2Killinit53d ago

None of it makes sense. But its happening.

Ps5conehead53d ago

That’s up to Microsoft they want return on there investment. From buying up those publishers. That’s what there in business for. And they made a mistake putting day one exclusive on game pass. So now Microsoft wants to profit any way they can.its called buisness . Just like Sony putting games on pc a year are two after ps5 launch.
So if they can make money off PlayStation and Nintendo. They will do that. And I bet soon real soon they will release some aaa exclusives .and I bet one day it will be same day release

TheEroica52d ago

Sony gamers begging for Xbox games.... Who would've thunk it?

BISHOP-BRASIL52d ago

Yeah, because random site off the internet represents all Sony gamers, they have the letter of attorney and all...

S2Killinit52d ago

Lol what a spin. You dizzy?

AsunaYuukiTheFlash52d ago (Edited 52d ago )

We don’t care about shovelwares. Get that junk out of PS5

More like MS begging to put their games on PlayStation.

Friendlygamer53d ago

Some of these seem to be exclusive for lack of enthusiasm of the publisher rather than because of deals. A lot of cool indies skip ps for some reason like katana zero, el paso, elsewhere and gunbrela

S2Killinit53d ago

Even more indies skip xbox. We know that right?

Friendlygamer53d ago

Quality over quantity, Microsoft got some really interesting and curated niche games on their machines, maybe in part because of gamepass

S2Killinit52d ago

Quality and MS are not things you bring up in same sentence.

shinoff218353d ago (Edited 53d ago )

Alot of indies skip xbox to. It goes round and round. Personally I think your off base on that but no need to have the argument.

Friendlygamer52d ago

Between katana zero, valheim, Battletech, el passo... I don't feel off base. maybe ps got a million of light novel games that will never release on Xbox but like I've said, I'm talking about niche games highlights, the 10%.

Heck, it's probably thanks to Microsoft that the s.t.a.l.k.e.r games came to console ps included, meanwhile Sony backwards compatibility continues to be extremely anemic.

And I'm sure most ps5 users are happy to ignore these games and just play wathever new 3rd person action game is trending but it's cool that Microsoft gives some love to smaller audiences and software preservation

shinoff218352d ago

Again your off base just to be snide. All it's showing though is your ignorance.

One light novels wtf is that even. Ps has plenty of pretty damn good indies.

Speaking of indies and ms being responsible. You know F.I.S.T. of course you do alot of you guys just support gamepass. Well here's a history of Sony being responsible for helping indies. Look up the China project from Sony.

Lastly lol your ignorance showing again. Sony has plenty of games. Personally third person is better then first anyway but that's besides the point. Sony gets so many games that xbox doesn't get because yall don't support the games. Jrpgs being a great example. I personally am not into every Sony first party game. Alot of us aren't. On the other side you don't get to eat often so you gobble up everything. Me personally God of War not my cup, etc. For me I'm into jrpgs and ms just can't touch Sony on those. Again because the Xbox base doesn't support it. Devs dont wanna waste their time or money. Hit me up when falcom develops a game over there.

Speaking of third person narrative games. Aren't yall drooling over hellblade 2. The first one was Sony exclusive at one point. Another not my cup game. Showing we don't have to fall in line and agree we love everything Sony puts out. The facts are they sell though unlike elsewhere(not nintendo)

StormSnooper52d ago

You are same person as GamerRN, yes?

Abnor_Mal53d ago

They really think PlayStation fans would want to play Redfall? Pfft.

Personally nothing on that list would be any game I’d want to play.

TwoPicklesGood53d ago

I’d absolutely love Hellblade 2, Palworld, and Quantum Break on ps5 as I’m sure tons of others would too. There’s nothing wrong with wanting games from another console and its sad that people try to act like they aren’t interested in them.

shinoff218352d ago

While indont agree with the games. I agree with the point. Your not wrong.

DarXyde53d ago

Sunset Overdrive makes very good sense. Palworld might.

Don't know about the others. Hellblade II does make sense given the original launched on PS4 first. Quantum Break was a massive letdown for me. I absolutely hated the whole TV show thing and I don't think anyone should have to relive that on modern hardware.

Now that Remedy owns Control, it’s time to reclaim Quantum Break

Alan Wake 2 studio Remedy Entertainment has reclaimed the rights to Control, and now sci-fi hit Quantum Break deserves the same treatment.

Totally agree with that especially when Quantum Break has several references to Alan Wake and Alan Wake make allusions to QB.
I do believe that MS and Remedy can work things out and MS has usually been nice to devs and publishers regarding IP.

Obscure_Observer69d ago

They can't "reclaim" what was never theirs.

Petebloodyonion69d ago

I’m sure we can settle for purchase from MS the IP.

Lightning7769d ago

MS is not doin anything with it. Plus they're doing a multiverse of their own so Remedy needs the IP.

If MS wants to have exclusive let it be timed for 6 months then go to other platforms. MS seems to be, let's say, generous with some if their games as of late.

Or have QB2 be multiplat from the jump, put it on GP. Keeping QB2 as an exclusive is kinda weird these days.

Obscure_Observer68d ago (Edited 68d ago )

@Petebloodyonion

"I’m sure we can settle for purchase from MS the IP."

Good luck

@Lightning77

"MS is not doin anything with it."

Japan Studio is dead nd Sony isn´t doing anything with Bloodborne either! Yet I can 100% guarantee that there´s a far bigger demand for a sequel, remake or even a remaster for that game from both PS5 and PC gamers.

That been said, why don´t you ask Sony tol sell the IP to Fromsoftware now that according to rumors, they bought Elden Ring from Bandai?

ZwVw69d ago (Edited 69d ago )

Reclaim? That would mean that they actually owned the ip at one point, which they never did (MS always has). Apples & oranges. Remedy always owned the Control ip (just not the publishing), as they have with Alan Wake.

About as likely as them getting the Max Payne rights from Rockstar.

mastershredder69d ago (Edited 69d ago )

Sending you game to a publisher does not mean they get "rights to own it " unless that was part of the contract (monetary/ strategic reasons). 505 was the publisher they worked with to publish and distribute it, it dos not mean that 505 flat out "owned" anything, clearly they did have a special arrangement that made them open to limit their publishing rights. and so here we are and big whoop

Jingsing69d ago (Edited 69d ago )

Yeah get Quantum Break PS5, only if you put it on disc with all the associated movie material.

isarai69d ago

I mean they got the Alan Wake IP back from MS, so I feel like they could get QB back as well

15 Games That Like to Play With Your Mind

GB: "Some games reduce stress while others like to play with your mind."

15 games on FIFTEEN pages? That's a NO from me.

Superliminal
Antichamber
Manifold Garden
Portal & Portal 2
The Stanley Parable
Monument Valley
Gorogoa
Thumper
Inscryption
Q.U.B.E. 2
Darq
Quantum Break
Perspective
Inside
The Swapper

IamTylerDurden1366d ago (Edited 366d ago )

I think Inscryption is the best game on that list. PT and Returnal i would offer. Returnal deserves a spot over some of the listed games. Especially after chapter 3. Maybe even Alice MR? Death Stranding? Kojima all together. To much smaller degree Dead Space. I'm spitballing.

I didn't play Thumper enough to see beyond the visual spectacle. Curious choice.

SullysCigar365d ago (Edited 365d ago )

I'd add FEAR and RE7 (when Ethan starts getting visions, especially in the boat) to that list.

Edit: and Here They Lie

Petebloodyonion365d ago

What no Eternal Darkness on the list?

BrainSyphoned365d ago

Only makes me think of gatcha loot crate game specifically built to play your mind into becoming an addict.
