the problem for me is not the 3DS platform they have chosen, it's the list of games!!
Every single collection includes the same list of games, SEGA legacy is much more that this.

In the entire history of Nintendo DS/3DS, only Sonic the Hedgehog from this collection has been given a physical release. That means 8 games in this collection are new to store shelves. 2 of the games haven't even made it to gone US Eshop/DSIware. Pllus, the 3D Classics line includes cool extras that weren't even in the original Genesis versions. That's going the extra mile.

Buy this for the blast processing alone.

It's funny that the OP thinks that, hm....

At the very least they should be able to offer it on everything at the same time. Even if in bad finical straights.

Sega is desperately trying to make money with as little effort as possible. They keep drip feeding old games down again and again hoping to pull a Nintendo and open peoples wallets with the nostalgia gambit.
Why are they making the same mistakes year after year?

It really is sad to see these historic companies that sit on some of the most iconic IP's in gaming history just waste away and rot.

"They should have a look at the speculation that their announcement caused on the internet, and have a good think about what their next step should be."

True, but unfortunately reactions on the internet doesn't equal success in the business world.

I would love to see the Beat 'em genre return with Altered Beasts and Streets of Rage remakes. Small co-op arcade type titles for DL only.

And for gawd's sake...another Sonic All Star Racing!

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken48d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake49d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Jingsing49d ago

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
