HGC:
Io Interactive and Square Enix aim to revive the Hitman series by refining the very mechanics that make it so great. Hitman will be returning to contract assassinations at catered affairs rather than dealing with the rednecks and roadkill that was so abundant in Hitman: Absolution. Little is known about the story and whether or not the events of Hitman: Absoltion will have any involvement is still a mystery. We do, however, know that the Hitman beta that is slated to release on February 12 is going to be a prequel to the series set twenty years in the past.
The month of October is going to be filled with excitement as the Hitman franchise is commemorating its 25 years of being in the business.
It’s the 25th anniversary this year?
I’d have assumed it would have gotten something like a remastered trilogy of the original games or a remake of the first game. Something for a 25th celebration.
Super lacklustre
Cultured Vultures: With the World of Assassination Trilogy wrapped up, here's our thoughts on the best and the worst in the series.
From PSU: "Ten years ago, the Hitman franchise was in a transitory state. Blood Money had become something of a classic and with Hitman Absolution there was a clear decision to push IO Interactive’s assassination sim series to a whole new level. That experimental, often divisive, entry turned out to be pivotal in what would follow.
Elements of Absolution, such as its accessibility and player-created content, would be mixed with the more traditional Hitman games’ sense of murderous creativity to birth the Hitman Trilogy 0f 2016-2021. A series that would take its creators on a turbulent journey of publisher changes, independence, and the eventual triumph of being handed the tantalizing 007 license."
Hitman hasn't been the same since Square Enix bought Eidos , So no Hitman is not the great game it used to be and Absolution showed it.
Pretty sure people play games do to what they are and not do to release date, or structure of release etc.
I would say most of the people on this site actually don't know what their talking about and generally hate anything that is different for the sake of being different without reason.
If your a Hitman fan and Hitman is releasing in fall, I actually fail to see how whats happening episodically now will actually hurt any of those fans that might be waiting for the final thing in fall.
Consider most on here kept posting they wanted a "full disk based game" yet its been stated they are still doing that, but then again....I mean one would to question the reading comprehension of some of the people on N4G.
Seriously, some folks are legit saying they would rather have the final thing, in 1 package on disk this fall.
LMFAO! Never mind that its been confirmed thats been happening.
Sooooooo not sure the fear and hate on here means much considering the IQ of some of the people on this site.
Every time I see that thumbnail I think it's for an article for Star Wars KOTOR.
