It's still Arcade + PS3 exclusive but I wouldn't be surprised to know that Microsoft paid another $50 million to get Tekken 6 on their system. Apparently they need games.

First I would like to see the article that states that it is still an exclusive...in the Namco interview that I read...they played it safe by not saying one way or another. And please hang up the old argument of Microsoft paying people off.......and even if that is that case, why does that necessarily have to be a bad thing? Besides, the 50 million that we know that Microsoft paid to Rockstar was for extra content...not for exclusivity to be dropped.

I love Tekken. This sixth installment is looking great.
Hopefully its release date stays Dec.08 though I doubt it with Soul Calibur IV being released just last month.

I'm kind of disappointed. The characters have the same intro from Tekken 5. The character models aren't where I thought they would be after not hearing any news for a while (Lighting and everything else is pretty good but the characters look life they had a face lift instead of surgery).

All's not bad. The gameplay is still the same which is great. However, the game runs a lot faster than the other Tekkens so it might be an increase in speed or running at 60fps. Animations also are much more fluid.

The gameplay see to be on point, but the graphics aren't where they should be especially for a 3rd year PS3 title.

Tekken is bound by contract and thus exclusive for the PS3. Thats why all Tekkens so far are PS3 exclusive.

The only exception made was for the handhelds. So dream on. Best fighter ever = PS3 exclusive.

You thought SC4 was fun, Tekken is on a whole different level. Online is actually FUN and competitive in Tekken.

What do you mean you KNOW that it wont? If you know this, then you must explain the facts to back it up? i'm quite curious. BTW i'm sick of all this multiplat BS. The quality of the games is taking a hit because they have to dumb them down for xbox. Therefore i probably will avoid some of them.

3rd party devs are starting to realize that the ps3 exclusives are already looking way better than their multiplats.

Because exclusives always look better than multi platform since developers can really push one system ahead.

No matter how good a multi platform game looks, if it had been exclusive, it would have always looked better. Period.

What about multi-platform games that are being developed by different teams within the company?...the same apply, even though different teams or developing them for a certain console..is that sort of not exclusive within its own right? I do not buy the whole developers will push more when they do exclusives........developers can decide when they wan to release a game...and therefore choose to take as much time or as little time as they want based on my factors.

So dissapointing, like a few have said, this simply aint cutting it.

soul caliber stinks, my friends love it but its mondain and boring, slow and clunky, yoda is cool but the game lacks. and the same goes for these vids of tekken, which is my all time favorite game.

but just like soulcaliber, it looks like a suped up old tekken, the animations are the same(last gen like) nothing new in the fighting department just like soul caliber, and the characters just dnt scream net gen .

its like the last tekken with a new paint. same game with some new moves characters. maybe its me but i want something new brought to the table cause these fighters are just like last gens with fresh paint. unlike other genres that have grown the fighting genre is stale and dead

I agree.

I want a fighting game for multiplayer, but i just think the whole genre needs some serious work for me to buy one. I want to see more damage to surroundings, clothes and the body of the fighters. The animations should be better, as could the graphics considering how few are on th screen at once. More interactions from the people watching would be cool too.

thats what i have been saying all this time. tekken six just looks like tekken 5.1. there isnt much that screams next gen tekken. the graphics looks good but thats about it. nothing else. everything they are doing on tekken six has already been done in the previous tekkens.

I think that the game looks a lot smoother gameplay wise, and there are new animations. In an interview with Namco they said that the game's mostly finished and they're working on touching up the graphics so it'll only look better the more we see it. Hopefully it keeps its December release date.

Soul Calibur IV sold more on the 360 then on the PS3. So Namco won't like to throw $$$$$ away

What's really pissed me off is that the Arcade version is running on PS3 Hardware, so what the hells taking NB so long to release it on Blu-ray?
