Star Wars Battlefront II for PSP is More Complete than its 2015 Counterpart

Battlefront II on the PSP feels like a complete game while the shiny reboot delivers nothing but a bag of polished graphical bones.

What an utterly terrible article.

Battlefront 2 was larger and more expansive because Pandemic Studios had already done a lot of work on the 1st game. Used the same engine, a lot of the same art assets, sound effects, etc...

Things were in place already - allowing them more time to focus on additional content. Terrible websites like this continue hammering this absurd notion that game development is free and that if a game doesn't include everything under the sun then it's not complete.

Agreed. I'm not sure why they are comparing a port to full game development.

Its a bad comparison and even I agree Battlefront released with little content, but not to be compared to a port or a 10 year old game series or anything like that, games are much more complex today then 10 years ago, we are no longer referring to the exact same thing.

I'm sure DICE will do a better job their second time around on the same engine vs the 2 years they had with Battlefront.

Thanks! Lots of PSP games on PSN, some favorites are not on their as digital so I can't play some of them on PSTV, but I'm reading some users have used it on PSTV and it works fine.

A bit expensive, but I might help myself to this later this year.

lol, I call BS to that, many films have release near or around big games, that don't just jump game sales past 10 million, that is just unheard of. Someone is playing Battlefront due to liking what they are playing, regardless of how many of us feel about Battlefront. Someone clearly likes it for what it currently is.

I would hardly call Battlefront one of 2015's "worst" games, that is just a ridiculous exaggeration. I spent very little time with SWBF due to playing so many other games, but I wouldn't just say its the worst game of 2015, its just complete BS and even with its reception upon gamers, its just unwarranted and just a complete exaggeration.

Something not being for you, doesn't make it "the worst" it merely means its not for you.

FIRST off the game was built on a predecessor that already had base mechanics/sounds/engine.

I'm not the largest fan of the new Battlefront, BUT in no way is it a bad game. The game is far superior in graphics, sounds, mechanics, etc.

Yes it is lacking features from the original and the content is lacking for a multiplayer only game. But with time we will see what EA and DiCE can produce out of it.

Articles like this make me cringe.

I can't think of any game in the last 4 years that only had 4-5 maps, let alone one that was successful.

I played the life out of Battlefront 2 on PSP.

Those were simpler times.
