Steam sales in 2015

Steam's massive. So massive that it recently surpassed the 12m concurrent users mark. That's an incredible 4m up from the same period a year ago.

But a new list published by the brain behind Steam Spy breaks down how massive Steam is with the best-selling games released in 2015 - and the amount of money they made.

I love how good City Skylines did.

They listened to the fans, made logical choices and did it with a team of like 15 people + made a ton of money and sold a lot of copies of the game.

Compared to Sim City it was a breathe of fresh air.

Surprised TW3 didn't sell more on steam. Wonder how many purchased on gog? I know I did..

Its total sales are over a million tho and that's on steam only.

CS:GO is almost 4 years old yet it sold over 6 million copies since April lol.

EDIT: Just found out it has sold over 18 million copies xD, that's crazy.

Though titles like COD or BF do bigger numbers in like 1 year or 2 years, CS has great legs as the online community is supported long term with no sequels.

Pretty sure if some sequels released those numbers would lower a bit. Its a pretty well balanced game, I liked what I played from it when it first released, didn't think I would like it better then CS Source, but GO is really, really fun. Haven't been into MP FPS as much lately though.
