why are we seeing the first hour? we know this is just a digital release. nothing more. if you somehow missed this game, you should NOT miss it now.

That's a fair question. I made the video because a digital release. While we've seen a fair amount of Wii games released on Wii U, most of them were later titles in the system, usually from 2009 and up. By that point, the architecture of the Wii was pretty much understood universally by developers, allowing for titles to be better optimized.

But Super Mario Galaxy was released less than a year after the system's release and is STILL one of the best looking games on the system.

So I had to wonder, just how would a digital version of this game preform? Would the loading times be reduced? Would any unusual glitches occur?

The answer is strangely enough, no. There's no difference what so ever from the disc and digital version. I felt this was worth showing.
