Here Are The New Xbox One Backward Compatibility Titles Playable Today

Last month we launched one of the most requested features: Xbox One Backward Compatibility, with an initial set of more than 100 titles, allowing fans to take their Xbox 360 experience to Xbox One and still be able to play with their friends, take screenshots, stream and record in-game DVR clips. Today, we’re excited to announce even more Xbox 360 titles available now on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility.

They will continue to give out the codes all the way into January. If you already own any digital versions of the Gears games on 360, then you won't receive the codes for the games you already own.

You should have gotten an e-mail in your XBox One Inbox. I got 2 e-mails. One had the codes for Gears of War 1 & 2 and the 2nd e-mail had the codes for Gears of War 3 & Judgement Day. When you bought GoW: UE all you had to do was played it once and you get the codes. I haven't installed them onto my XBox One yet, but you'll see them at the end of your games list to the right, along with all the digital B/C games that are waiting to be installed.

I was sent mine quite quickly after buying and playing Gears hd, I love how this addition to BC has breathed new life into older titles online.

Gears 3 horde is still exceptional and I'm very pleased by how well the game holds up today.

Finally I can get around to beating Deus Ex HR since it has been backlogged for like 4 years.

Halo Reach is sick too since now I can play all the Halo games on one console aside from Wars but I'm assuming we'll get that soon or it will be bundled with Halo Wars 2.

I also own every halo game on Xbox one. It's nice to have halo reach on there as well. I have it on my 360 but it's hooked up to a different TV and mostly used as a media hub. Not an ideal spot in my house to play video games. Not always as easy as inserting the disc. Being a fanboy has nothing to do with anything.

I also had too many other games I wanted to play over Deus Ex at the time. I have a huge backlog on 360 and PS3. It just makes it more convenient to now play on the current system I use.

I am in a different boat.

I have a few 360's throughout my home, for travel, and at my summer property.

BC has allowed me to disconnect all except one 360 (reserved for games not in BC).

That way, I don't need multiple consoles, I just need X1 for 360 and X1 games most of the time.

Paltry? It's actually in line with what I expected. IF you recall MS has said they will be doing monthly "releases" of BC games lists. On top of that we know 2 games every month will be on offer for GwG giveaway. MS will use this monthly release list as an ongoing monthly announcement to look forward to. I am guessing we will continue to see 10 to 15 games announced each month.

I am also going to stab a guess that since they have Halo Wars being listed in the UK and not in the U.S. come January Halo Wars will be one of the 360 GwG offerings.

So, what you are really saying is that Sony did not do something in gamers' interest in designing the PS4. They neglected to design the PS4 in a way where they could do backwards compatibility.

They knew from the start that the cell was a much different architecture than the new PS4. They could've come up with ways to make cell emulation in the PS4 easy. But, instead they gambled on charging gamers for a form of BC through PS Now.

And then they go and insult gamer's intelligence even more by offering PS2 games to PS4 gamers for a ridiculous price.

My guesses. Alan Wake will come out with Quantum Break as a bonus. Call of Duty is making either A: A remastered collection B:They want to come out with modern warfare bundles/black ops bundles marked with "backwards compatible with Xbox One" they also don't want to cannabilize sales of BO3 so they probably won't flip the switch until sales start slowing down either way.

So many disagrees over a free service that lets people play the games they own for free on the xbox one.. salty PS boys are mad because Sony is charging them for PS2 games they may already own (not sure why since that console is now ancient) and can't play PS3 games... The underdog always tries harder to appease customers whilst the lead sits on it's laurels and doesn't try to do anything.. While the xbox one maybe slightly weaker hardware wise, it's certainly the better experience at this point...

I suppose some might say its six of one and half a dozen of the other, I do believe though that the greater variance in what each console can do serves only to strengthen them both.

I have often felt that for the most part the machines were too similar, unlike the prior generations. I really feel now that the software and feature sets have become more unique for each system making them both more appealing.

Can't comment on the other games haven't played them,but Halo reach doesn't play particularly well.Played for about 30-45mins,lots of sound anomolies and screen stuttering.Not knocking the opportunity to play for free etc on X1 -I still have loads of 360 games,but that's my experience on this particular game.
