Bugsnax is an odd, odd game and some of its inspirations are even more odd. According to writer, creative director, and level designer Kevin Zuhn, the game is also like Bioshock and Dark Cloud in a few key ways.
I'm not sure the creative director does either lol. Comparing themselves to a gem like BioShock is kinda cocky on the face of it, especially after seeing the trailer.

I really loved Dark Cloud, definitely waiting for a price drop before I pick this up though!
Almost looks better on PS2.
Looks great on ps4. The clarity from the resolution bump is worth it.
