I've payed the game $60, I enjoy it. BUT STILL .. not enough maps, weapons and vehicles for $60... and yes DLC gives more content than BASE GAME.. that's ridiculous.

In my opinion there's only three game modes worth playing; with Walker Assault being the best, followed by Supremacy and Drop Zone. There may be 15 maps in total spread across all said modes, but there is a lack of diversity and only five maps to play the games best mode on. The lack of content is, disturbing...

Well thats your opinion. I play like 7 modes on a regular basis. With walker Assault being one of the worst modes IMO. Kind of stupid you can control the point the whole game then speeders come in and take walkers down at the end of the game.

As you say lack of diversity, you mean themed maps? Cause i mean we could point to almost every game far as lack of diversity. Most games have themed type multiplayer maps, be it snow, jungle or desert or whatever.

Most young gamers now are shallow minded and expect the world in games. Does tetris, pacman, frogger, centipede, i mean i could go all day long with lack of content. The point of these games such as Battlefront now, was it was just fun to play. Even playing the exact same board over and over.

Does a game have to have 40 maps and 50 guns and 5 billion stupids things to unlock to keep short minded people interested? Obviously it seems that way. What happend to just being a blast to play.

.No, he is saying there's the same map with a small chunk cut out and edited and made into a new map for a smaller gamemode which they count in their "15" maps.

.Why not compare battlefront's content to other games for its time instead of games made 3-4 decades ago like pacman.... halo, cod, and battlefront 4 all offer dramatically more content. Halo even has free DLC!! I just expect battlefront to the same standards of content of other games in it's genre.

No it doesn't have to have more than 40 maps, just more than 15 maps when it's the only part of the game and in reality it's really only like 10 because half of them are scaled down and relayed out version of the same map. No, it doesn't need 50 guns....but more than 11. All that DLC for battlefront should of been included in the game to make a $60 dollars multiplayer only game launching with a crap survival mode with "15" maps....

We "expect a world" because that's the standard that other games bring us

Fun is subjective, its not a objective thing. What is worth full price to you, may not be for everyone else, but that is a moot point.

Buddy...if its fun, who cares? Your crying about a number when for a fact, other games released with LESS maps, that number has very little to do with over all quality.

I played TF2 for over 200 hours when it just had 6 maps ,its still one of the best FPS team based games of all time. Mind you, I stated that before they released more maps after release.

I agree with Utalk on this one, its shallow and stupid. It makes no sense. Games have released with less before, 20 maps day 1 wouldn't just suddenly make it better. I don't know anyone who buys a game based on the number of maps.

Witcher 3 is good not based on it has a lot of quest, its good because of the QUALITY of those quest, its a good game even if it was only 60 hours, as Witcher 1 was around that long and was a amazing game.

MORE hours doesn't suddenly make it really any better. Witcher 3 would still get a buy from me if it was 60 vs 200. 200 is of course great, it doesn't make or break me buying it, not even the slightest.

Gamers again don't buy games based on such utterly stupid reasons.

Honestly I don't know how much better gaming can look than this, I mean 10 years ago this exact gameplay was what I was dreaming about, it terms of pure graphics I can't see it getting any better. Maybe V.R with such graphics would be the next leap

TBH there is no limit. Sure we have reached a point of diminishing returns however there is still a long way to go before games start to look like real life.

I am currently playing Witcher 3 in 5k, with 2x titanx oced to 1500mhz. I can tall you at that resolution Witcher 3 looks bloody insane. However we still have ways to go.

Well 5k is a whole new level. You need to check some of the Retina macs run a 5k video on them to see the detail. That will just give you an idea of how immersive 5k can look like. Sure you can never game at 5k on the macs. You will need to get a Dell up2715k monitor which itself will cost you about 2k usd. But dam you see games like GTA 5 and Witcher 3 run at those resolutions your jaw will drop.

1080= 2m pixles
4k = 8m pixles
5k = 14m pixles

Hence 5k is like 70% more than 4k.

Well you can pick up a 3-4 gen old smart phone Say a Samsung S2 which had a PPI of about 217 pixels.

Then pick a Samsung S3 which has a PPI of about 306 Pixels. You will see a significant image quality difference between the two.

4k @ 27 inches is about 160PPI.
5k @ 27inches is about 217PPI.
8k @ 27inches will be about 320PPI.

I think the difference would be pretty visible. Beyond 8k though i think it would become pretty difficult to tell a difference.

16k is already on the horizon. Movie studios are already looking into it (to film).

Then there's holographic gaming/tv coming up from a table, and being able to display that at higher resolutions.

Of course VR is a separate track to enjoy as well.

Who knows where we could end up. 64k, 256k... beyond???

Larger size displays create a need for higher resolutions, but people can easily tell the difference between a 1080p smartphone and 4k.

Blow that up to 50-70-90 inches, and such improvements are still possible increases are still possible in tv's.

That's, 32000 x 18000 (576,00) - aspect 16:9 (1,78 - widescreen)

So we have ways to go until we reach TRUE photo-realism video games and that's resolution only, I'm not even mentioning engine quality assets.

So in rough calculations, with what we have today, we need about 144 Titan x's (considering we need 2 of them to run games at 4K-30fps 2way SLI)working in UBER_ULTRA-Sli while being in complete harmony to play a game at 576MP!

I play it on PS4 and it does still look really good on the 1080P TV. The lighting is superb. I think some of the gripes people have are warranted but it's a much better game than I though it was going to be and it really gives some brilliant gaming moments when playing with friends. I don't regret this purchase at all.

Get over Star Wars for Christ sake! It's just movies for kids and teenagers...and a f...ing gold mine for producers and a few marketing thieves. I understand that a lot a people love it because they saw it when they where kids but come on, don't make it the thing of the century, please! Humanity deserves better. It was a pretty nice piece of entertainment, I give you that, but not much more, and that game isn't even beautiful because it's Star Wars art direction and it's really poor.

It's really not that demanding. Next year's cards should run this thing like a champ.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable Deluxe Edition of Battlefront like I did for Titanfall. Got the latter for $5 and worked out just fine with all the DLC. As it is now, I wouldn't buy Battlefront for even $20. With the Season Pass included, a Battlefront Deluxe/Complete edition would be worth a good $60.

Yeah, lack of single player was a big turn-off for me. Love the Battlefield/CoD single players, so was hoping for a similar experience but in the Star Wars world. Could have been epic.
