Rainbow Six: Siege's Biggest Problem Is Its Player

Pixelgate.co.uk writes:

''Rainbow Six: Siege has been out for a few weeks now, and one of it’s main problems is became clear. While the lack of content and modes is a detracting factor, the current big issue is much more human. Sieges biggest problem is its players.''

Agree 100% a generation of gamers have been ruined due to call of duty where they needed everything handed and catered towards them.

I can understand not being good at a game in terms of gun skill and strats. But the lack of common sense on games is astounding.

The amount of times I have seen people just run straight into an objective without checking anything and even though they see partners die right in front of them they still run straight in.

PixelGateUk3093d ago

It's not the players are bad, it's more they just play it in a selfish way that makes less enjoyable for others. Trolling is trolling, not much that can truly be said on it

jackwei223093d ago

I saw that a few times in Vegas in terrorist hunt as it is funny seeing them trying to be the hero and rush in get wasted then blame you.

WellyUK3093d ago

It's not just CoD that has done that... You people make it out as if CoD didn't used to be amazing. Battlefield is extremely casual now as well. It's money that talks so they aim it at the casual audience, cod sadly fell into that place where it get blames for everything wrong with the industry even though it's not the only game that is extremely casual. But then no one has come along with a game that stands out against CoD especially on consoles, Tactical/slow paced fps games seem to be just a PC thing now a days.

I do agree though that some people now a days are beyond stupid online, sadly I get dumped with them 90% of the time i play online and have to carry them.

xReDeMpTiOnx3093d ago

While I agree with you I still have to blame cod because battlefield and killzone used to be both a lot more hardcore until call of duty flooded the market then like you said money and the casual
Crowd came into play and both of the games I mentioned changed for the worse.

PixelGateUk3093d ago

I'm hardly gonig to write a essay on the origins of modern multi;player fps in a comment section to be fiar. CoD is the easiest, and most well known, reference point.

That's why I always play with friends.

This in my opinion is why Evolve failed.

It's a team focused game and unfortunately there isn't a lot of gamers with this frame of mind. Like the article says, everyone just wants to run off, do their own thing and shoot first.

It's a really great game, sadly some of the players do ruin the experience.

Utalkin2me3093d ago

Sadly players ruin the experience in all online games. Seems people throw common sense out the window, and could care less about helping the team.

SweatyFlorida3093d ago

Well honestly consoles lacked a CS:Go type of game, where your coordinating and talking amongst the team and such and planning to win(at least that's how I think it goes down). Same with moba's.

Nowadays most console shooters are fairly solo in terms of teamwork, you go after objectives with your own mindset rather then talking with the team to win the game. Part of the reason I stay in TDM in CBO3 as I too have that lonewolf mentally, which is why I opted out of Siege as I knew exactly what kind of game it was going to be. Too bad atm most people are playing dumb, I'm sure after a month it'll retain the hardcore people who know how to play the game right and weed out the casuals.

kaizokuspy3093d ago

@sweatyflorida, consoles had CS:GO, it had their share of trolls too. It has nothing to do with gamers today, but the realization that a lot of people that buy and play games only play them about a few hours a week. They may not care so much about teamwork as opposed to sitting in a separate chat and having a conversation with a bud while the game becomes secondary. It's just a new behavioral trend we've gotten with all of our technology breakthroughs. Best thing to do? Join a gaming community, only play with friends, and have fun.

Perjoss3093d ago

This is why some multiplayer games would be better off with a single player mode, even if its just tacked on. If you're having a bad night maybe you're not doing so well or you're just unlucky and get bad team mates over and over, at least you have the option to go beat up on some AI for a while.

purebennyc3093d ago

I'm a big fan of Rainbow Six Siege. There is a bit of a learning curve involved since it is a much more strategic FPS but once players overcome that, there is a fantastic game to be experienced.

mep693093d ago

i dislike how massive the guns look. and how it just feels like cod with a tiny bit of tactics involved.

BlackTar1873093d ago

what do you mean feels like COD? As in it's FPS? Other then that i see no correlation. No respawn all tactics no kill streaks. No over powered everyone has grenades and explosives.

I just don't see how COD and this are the same in any way other then FPS.

purebennyc3093d ago

Feels like COD? Are you sure you didn't put the wrong disc in and that you weren't just actually playing COD? Rainbow Six Siege is completely different to COD.

theFAYEsorceress3093d ago

umm... you can't play this game anywhere near the same as cod. not sure which game you're playing, but other than being a fps, the two games aren't really alike in any other way. doesn't feel like a cod game at all. might not be classic r6, but it's certainly not cod.

Swiggins3093d ago

And the award for person who has obviously not played the game goes to.

This is exactly why I wish I could just play with bots on my team vs a team of bots. I don't care if they are stupid, at least they make an attempt to play the game by the rules.
