With the year 2016 about to come everyone’s head is turned towards Infinity Ward, the company without which Call of Duty wouldn't exist and the company without which it wouldn’t be what it is. Now since the franchise is not doing that well as it used to in its previous titles, everyone is hoping that Infinity Ward might be able to dig up something that can take this blockbuster franchise back to where it was because Infinity Ward has never made a bad game except Call of Duty Ghosts
The developers have provided a little band-aid while PlayStation players attempt to get back into MW3.
MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.
MW was an excellent videogame. They messed up Spec Ops big time, but aside from this it was a huge step in the right direction initially. Most notably, at launch it seemed to come from a very cohesive creative vision that was felt across gameplay, to story to art style/visual direction. It was also very notably written by prominent ex-Naughty Dog guys that quit almost immediately before release.
That COMPLETELY dissolved through post-launch content and the full pivot to a "cross-mode" narrative that completely obliterated the cohesion in overall story direction. Warzone then "became" the new face of Call of Duty and the franchise completely removed itself from anything remotely creatively "good". It is a pure money machine, so I kinda get why they're doing it....but I personally completely lost interest.
I would love to see Infinity Ward move off CoD and get to make their own product with full control. They clearly have some massive talent in their ranks but it's perverted by Activision's corporate interests.
Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.
Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash
Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.
I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.
Nah time for a new WW2 game
Why did everyone hate Ghosts? I thought it was good. It had great hit detection, a decent, fun variety of DLC maps and characters... (You can play as Michael Myers and a Predator c'mon) Weapons weren't under powered at all, and the game was generally just fun. I played that game a long tome, I hit max prestige and enjoyed my time for the most part. The only bad things I can think of in that game were: the maps were a little too big, the dog pointstreak, and the IED's... Other than that, in my opinion it was Infinity Ward's best CoD game since 2007's CoD4...
Need modern Warfare remake with all maps. Infinityward doesn't need a new type of COD.
They aren't the same Infinity ward that made great games so I couldn't careless what they do.
