Today Ubisoft confirmed that the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game, based on the upcoming CGI film, is in development for Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, PC, GBA, DS, GameCube and Wii. The game is being developed by Ubisoft's Montreal and Quebec City studios, and will be available on March 13, 2007.
"Replica arcade cabinets are popular among collectors nowadays, with three sizes commonly available: 3:4 scale, 1:4 scale, and 1:6 scale cabinets. Numskull's Quarter Arcades line is stepping up their game (and prices) with today's announcement of 1:4 scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and TMNT: Turtles in Time cabinets. Both miniature cabinets are fully playable and support 4-player local co-op," says Co-Optimus.
There are tons of great games that have been overlooked in the mass of more popular titles. And I don’t just mean underrated games, either. We’re talking about grossly underrated and underappreciated titles in otherwise well-regarded franchises.
FINALLY someone who acknowledges the greatness of Gremlins 2 NES!! One of my favorite movie tie-in games of all times. I have fond memories of both the game and the movie from when I was a kid. I was playing it again just a couple of months ago, and it still holds up very, very well!
I rarely see people mention Gremlins 2 when discussing great NES games and I love you for that!
*edit - Sunsoft really was a fantastic studio. Another favorite, underrated late NES game from them was Batman Return of the Joker. It was so much better than the SNES version too. Something about it died in the effort towards upgrading the graphics and music. The NES version felt darker, moodier.
Kabuki Quantum Fighters was a Nick Arcade classic. Never played it but the name has stuck with me to this day because of that show.
With Sunsoft you knew you were getting good graphics and music,
Personal honorable mentions to Faxanadu and Crystalis.
I dont know if its been underrated, but kung fu master was such a awesome game on the nes. Even if it couldnt compare with the arcade version in graphics, the gameplay was so amasing. Awesome sound effects too. Played it for countless hours....
When you think of perfect arcade titles, your mind is likely to go to a certain beat ’em up called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, aka TMNT: The Arcade Game.
The amount of £1 coins I put in this game as a kid. Up there with streetfighter II and final fight for me. Classic arcade goodness.
How good is PS3's backward compatability with PS2 games? If it is really good, then it should be possible for PS3 owners to play the PS2 game.
If you want to get technical about it, any PS2 game made now should be playable on the PS3 unless of the developers purposely made the game incompatible. In a way, it could be said that PS3 owners should be able to play it as well.
Just a thought! (Yea, Yea I hear the fanboys coming now. Not every single game has to be a graphical work of art on the PS3 or Xbox 360. If it is fun and has good gameplay who cares. Yes, it would be nice to have a next-gen version but the PS3 is still pretty new and is a very different beast compared the PS2 - in contrast to the relationship between the Wii and Gamecube which are super similar easier to port to.)
i understand the Xbox1 not getting this game since the Xbox1 is basically no longer supported, but why the PS3 too? hmm... maybe they know that it won't be as profitable since there aren't that many PS3s out there right now and cost developement. PS2 will do just fine i suppose.
I used to love this game on NES...CLASSIC...CLASSIC..I will be getting this
could they unconfirm it for the 360?
