Mushihimesama may be on the short size with only five levels, but packs in a range of difficulty modes to make up for it. It is a fun game, which makes players feel over-powered while attempting to dodge beautiful and well-designed bullet patterns.
A bullet hell from the past that may not have caught up to the present.
Rocket Chainsaw: The overall package for Mushihimesama on Switch is excellent. Four modes, each with tonnes of replayability for anyone looking for a bullet hell fix.
"2021 is half over but it feels like we've already had 10 years worth of great indie games this year so here are June's best in 12 categories." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
As a bullet-hell fan, I see Mushihimesama as the big start to bullet hells, it's fantastic, but I worry how well it's aged. I'm used to bullet patterns of many colours, to distinguish betwenn how the bullets will move, rather than a LOT of purple. I'm also used to a more obvious hitbox.
Maybe I just need to get good. :P
Has it really been released for PS2, or is it a re-release? Anyway, fantastic name! Try saying that 3 times in a row after a few.
I love this game and Cave (though their managers done many bad decisions) .. I hope we will see even more ports on steam (consoles too) .. such a talented devs.. this PC port is good too
