I figured Amiibo Flop would be a borefest.

It's a shame really. But then again, Mario Party has lost its touch as well. So it really can't be helped. If anything hopefully these assets will assist in Animal Crossing U in someway.

I think that it's a shame that the Amiibos that I'm the most interested in are used in the games that I'm the least interested in. I was really hoping that this would somehow be a surprise hit... unfortunately, no.

Not surprising. Unfortunately amiibos are nothing more than gimmicks, which represent an expensive way to market dlc. The sooner that fad dies out, the better for the gaming community.

Fad?

Skylanders, Infinity, *insert future name of Sony's*, Amiibo..

Gammalad3099d ago

Skylanders have pretty much fallen off compared to how they use to be, same goes for Infinity as well. Not to sure about Lego Dimension but Amiibos are starting to see the same fate since they don't have a dedicated game like the rest. So yeah the fad is dying unless they can do something creative with it similar to Lego Dimensions is.
