Free EA Access Codes Apparently Being Sent Out By Microsoft To XBL Subscribers

Microsoft is apparently sending out free EA access codes to let Xbox One gamers play Star Wars Battlefront ahead of the release date.

Whats nice is if you use a code for free EA access or anything or that matter when the month or whatever the deal is for ends you aren't auto renewed. That's how most companies would approach it to try and get something in return. That's a great move by MS.

I just payed $30 for a year of EA Access just to get to rent this game early (I'm going to buy it on PS4 though). What a waste of $30.

That's you're own fault. If you just wanted to play the game early you could have spent just $5 for the month.

It wouldn't let me do the one month for some reason, but I didn't really care because it seemed like a good deal. What was aggravating though was i bought a $30 XBL card and then it wouldn't accept that as payment and made me use a credit card.

Well of course it wouldn't accept the xboxlive card. That is for xboxlive. Ea access is a separate service from xboxlive. It's the same reason why you get 10% off star wars ONLY if you buy it through ea access and NOT xboxlive.

If I'm purchasing EA Access through XBL I would think I could use an XBL card. Its like buying Disney bucks and then no place in Disneyland accepts them.

You can't use Xbox Live currency for subscriptions (ie Xbox Live/EA Access/Groove).

If you want EA Access without using a credit card just purchase a yearly code card.

At the very least you could get $6 back by buying the Xbox Version... and the vault games are worth the other $24 easily.

maybe u already have Fifa, Live (it sucks by the way), Madden, Dragonage:Inquisition, BF4, BF:Hardline, PvZ:Garden Warfare, Need for Speed Rivals, Titanfall (still one of the best fps multi-players out there), Need for SPeed Rivals...

And maybe, just maybe, you will buy all of EA's future releases thus making your $30 a waste...

I'm not saying MS doesn't pay for it but its just as likely they don't. The reason I say that is because not only does it entice people who are already going to buy Star Wars to do so digitally which is good for EA. It also could cause people who originally planned on not playing the game to try it again (or for the first time) and change there mind.

I could see MS charging EA for the exposure. No doubt EA stands to gain the most but this can be mutually beneficial.

This is like the Destiny Cologne of last year if nobody has caught it yet. Sony has exclusive advertising rights, what a slap in the face to offer most XBL customers the ability to play the full game free 1 week early.

LOL LOL look for the holiday this is the biggest game that Sony has to offer, they have paid EA lot of money for this deal, all the advertisements everywhere points to Sony PS4 as the place to play SW Battlefront, there are many multi-platform owners out there so this is MS chance to say, here look what at what I'm offering.

EA ACCESS any game made or published by EA will always be on ACCESS FIRST.

XBOX is where you can play them first, remember, EA owns MS big time for DRM, this was something been pushed strongly by the games publishers industries, in a chance to cut secondhand game and recover payment, but MS got the worst part of it, this was something that was agreed upon by all sides, but DRM, was more than just a security check on piracy for MS and the gaming industries, DRM removal also set back there cloudgine too, but all this is history.

Just look out for DLC on STAR WARS on EA access before XBL and PSN, in the end PS4 owners have to wait after paying so much.
