Fallout 4 PS4 Remote Play Control Scheme Revealed For PS Vita

Fallout 4 street date was broken by several retailers and the game is already out in the wild. As revealed earlier, the remote play controls for Fallout 4 were specifically designed for the Vita by the same developer who worked on the remote play controls for Destiny on the Vita, and as expected, the controls layout appear to be as user friendly as they can be.

Nice to see Remote Play being support.

PSVitaPS4owner3111d ago

I play PS4 when I am home. On my commute, I play Vita on the 1 hour train ride. There is no wifi so Remote Play is useless to me. I would rather that Bethesda re-release Fallout 1 and 2 on Vita. Those would be perfect on the go.

joel_c173111d ago

I use remote play all the time at home because my GF kicks me off the TV at times, but i agree - fallout 1 and 2 on PSV would be soooooo good.

SaveMeJebus3111d ago

You need a new girlfriend.

Eidolon3111d ago

Fallout 1/2 would be so perfect for the Vita.

nveenio3111d ago

I forgot about remote play. I haven't had to use it in a long time. If had remembered before switching to PC (because it is easier for me to get time to play if I play on PC), I might not have switched platform pre-preorders last week.

Yui_Suzumiya3111d ago

My girlfriend plays as much as I do when I'm working but when I'm off she enjoys watching me play just as much.

I wish they would use the second screen function as well, but I'm happy that they are thinking about vita at all tbh. Using VATS, this game might even be functional(ish) on Vita! Also, totally agree on the Fallout 1 & 2 ports to vita.

Letthewookiewin3111d ago

I really love remote play. This is great news. But honestly I rarely run into an instance where I have trouble with the configuration. That said I really wish Vita had four shoulder buttons instead of only two. It would be nice.

stuna13111d ago

They released a 3rd party add-on that gives the Vita 4 shoulder button functionality.

joel_c173111d ago

Does it work well? Because that would be awesome

stuna13111d ago

They say it's pretty good.

stuna13111d ago (Edited 3111d ago )

Gamestop, newegg, I even saw them at Walmart.
Look it up on google that's where I got consumer reviews.

I was afraid they would make down on the dpad sprint. I hope there is an alternative to use the rear touch pad too.

ipach3111d ago

down to sprint is one of my favorite things ever. why is that a problem? i even prefer it to pushing down the stick on a dualshock

bokharij3102d ago

It makes it harder to use the thumbstick and press down at the same time. I use my index finger to press down on the dpad to keep control of movement. With rear sprint controls I wouldn't need to lift my thumb or bring my index finger to the front of my Vita.

But of course this is just my preference.

How nice of them to give us more control over graphical settings as a way to *completely* avoid taking accountability for the broken Xbox settings.

bondsmx2d ago

Well, I still crashed like 5 times last night within two hours. So there’s that.

anast1d 7h ago

I had to stop. The game is not good. I'd rather play Skyrim and that game isn't that good either.

I Think It's About Time We Realize Fallout 4 Wasn't That Bad

Ahmed from eXputer: "2015's Fallout 4 received harsh criticism upon launching, but I think it was unwarranted and the game deserves more praise than it got."

helicoptergirl7d ago

It was totally that bad. I couldn't finish the campaign it was so bland and boring as I recall. Got so sick of it. 1000 stimpaks on hard. It is very rare that I play half a game and then just quit. I usually always finish it. But i was so bored with this game I just stopped and never went back and never regretted it. Just thinking about that game makes me shudder

Furesis7d ago

That's exactly what happened to me too lmao
Fallout 4 is not a fallout game period it's a bethesda game

Vits7d ago

The comparison with Skyrim is mind-boggling. Yes, Skyrim has streamlined many of the systems that Morrowind introduced. However, it did not tamper with the core of the Elder Scrolls franchise; it did not diminish the freedom and sense of exploration that made Bethesda RPGs famous. Fallout 4, on the other hand, did exactly that to the Fallout series. It eliminated what made Fallout such a beloved series to play. There are no consequences for your choices, no reason to explore, and barely any interesting set pieces in the game.

It's not terrible, but it's a painfully mediocre game in a franchise that typically doesn't produce such mediocrity. So that is why people see it as bad, the bar is just much higher.

anast7d ago

They both feel the same because they are, it's just that one has swords and magic and the other has swords and guns.

anast7d ago

I'm replaying it now. It sucks. I'm about 30 hours in and thinking about quitting again. I am so tired of the dialogue I just spam a random button because it doesn't matter. The upgrade just feels like a graphical mod, everything else is not good.

Good-Smurf7d ago (Edited 7d ago )

I couldn't play the game as-is it was insanely boring and grindy and the grind itself are not fun at all.
Mods helped me stomach the game a bit better but after a while I just stopped playing and uninstalled it because the game did nothing after the first few hours to give me any motivation to keep playing it, it just became a mindless looter shooter with obsession in settlement building and defending.
Compared to F3 and FNV, F4 was barely a mediocre game it wasn't bad but it's also very forgettable entry.

MrDead7d ago

It's not that bad after 300+ mods that fix it's issues and make the game fun... but lets not talk about mods right now as they are f****d.
