NL:
When we consider long-abandoned Nintendo franchises we'd like to see again, there's always a chance - if it's a top 10 - that Wave Race will come up within such lists. Those with fond memories of the Nintendo 64 may reminisce over its entry, even if the Game Boy original passed many by, while its last release was Wave Race: Blue Storm on the GameCube. That was developed by Nintendo Software Technology (NST) and released way back in 2002.
Kandagawa Jet Girls has some fun gameplay elements here and there that actually evolve the genre, but it's nothing like Wave Race.
Nintendo's Shinya Takahashi hints that the forgotten Wave Race franchise might be making a long overdue comeback on Nintendo Switch.
That would be so awesome. Imagine the physics and I hope Nintendo adds a lot of upgrades and content.
Breath of the Wild may be an overwhelming favourite for game of the year awards the world over, but the real kicker for Switch lies in its future potential. Mario Odyssey, Metroid Prime 4 and the next core Pokémon have all been announced for the console to universal fan appreciation and, being the greedy Nintendo fans we are, we’re looking beyond those games towards five more franchises we really want to see return on Nintendo’s new phenomenon.
Advance wars = YES YES YES YES YES
A port of Kid Icarus with PROPER controls
A port of Starfox from WiiU with PROPER controls
Animal Crossing
Oh and a port of Hyrule Warriors - Fantastic title
Oh and also port of all Zelda releases - maybe a nice box set with all of them
Good. I would had hated Wave Race Wii if it only had motion controls.
