Gt67 i guess you never played the beta,this need for speed game is the best in the series next to underground,the graphics are insane and the way the made the game look is pretty cool

you are correct , i have not played the beta. nor have i played the beta for Rivals, criterions HOTPURSUIT , Mostwanted as well, did not need to, i've seen with my eyes they were crap. apparently those of you disagree are not seasoned nfs fans and never tasted the true soul what make nfs need for speed . this generation believe anything colorful and shiny,with great graphics is the thing to get. without investigating the tradition soul or spirit of said game namely Need for speed . EA realize this so they will continue pumping out mediocre crapfest nfs until we gamers stop tolerating junk with our wallets.
would any Forza fan buy forza if it played like Ridge racer?? of course not. or if Burnout paradise played like Mario kart ? of course not . then why is Need for speed subdue as something that it's not. to true Loyal NFS die hard fans (old schul ) fans. i believe this rebooted nfs getting boo's and complains simple fact the original soul still not there.since Marcus nilsson not contracted to give us what we die-hard nfs players really want which is old fashion up-to-date Need for speed he give us rubbish always online , alldrive, autolog, drifting without gripping each corner .

my personal observation since EA canada studio first nfs on ps1 to blackbox studio 5 nfs on ps2 to criterion 3 games on ps3 now Ghost games first ps4 disappointment.

since black box studio undercover nfs been rolling downhill rapidly since 2003 nothing has changed same ol crapfest.

My concerns which pushed my $ to battlefront was the real acting story - which looked terri-bad.

Trailers seemed all at night....which suits the theme, but is disappointing.

The cops n robbers theme from last nfs was by its nature more fun. Pure street racing is fun as well (in a game) but it lacks the fear of getting caught. Ai police is not same.

VG247 are you sure you reviewed the correct game and you mistakingly not reviewed NFS underground 2, like that blip your uncharted veteran did? I'd be skeptical if the writer said he is a need for speed veteran!
