Ashley from GamersFTW writes: As many games take inspiration from novels, we at GamersFTW have compiled a list of brilliant novels that we think would transition to video games well.
Games such as Mad Max, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Batman: Arkham Knight desperately deserve a modern-day revisit.
RDR2 still looks astounding on PS4 Pro. i cannot imagine how it could look with a next gen upgrade.
It's obviously never gonna happen since Sony killed the game and studio, but Driveclub. Even in its current state, 10 years after release, it still puts many competitors to shame ...
Mad max ikr! Far cry primal, it amuses me how ubisoft just left ac unity hanging, sadly most of the good staff left from rocksteady while being forced to make that abomination smh
Prototype footage from several of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed titles has leaked, revealing early stages of their development.
BY JASON MONROE: The very best pirate-themed video games that you should play instead of the disappointment that is Skull and Bones.
PoE: Deadfire, Unless you have a or PS5 or an SSD don't bother, loading times are insane. A minute and a half to go into a room to investigate a desk in an inn and then an additional 1 1/2 minutes to leave the room and then load to leave the inn???
And they never fixed it.
Battle Royale in the style of Dark Souls? Haha!
I'd love a Battle Royal action FPS, with randomly designated weapons, complete with death zones. Imagine the action and horror of Battle Royale, but with the high speed of Call of Duty? Rewarding players with better weapons upon kills, and no respawns in a match. Would certainly be interesting.
Also, is it bad that any time I hear "Heart of Darkness", I think of the PSX platformer, and not the book?
The new Quantic Dream game, Detroit, looks like it's drawing a lot of inspiration from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, so you're definitely on to something there.
I think Heart of Darkness works perfectly as a story template for games. It helps to give a game a good direction of progression and development.
Fifty Shades of Grey?! or is that just me...
Good feature! Agree that cyberpunk just isn't done enough. I can't wait for Detroit and Cyberpunk 2077
