Keeping our superbike obsession a secret has been really hard! Normally we prefer to keep you up to speed with how Driveclub is always evolving around you, but we also like to surprise you every now and again, too. When better to do that than during one of the biggest game shows in the world?
"I personally don’t like the phrase “stand-alone DLC”. Not because of the actual meaning of it, but because I think there’s a negative stigma that surrounds it." -- PlayStation Enthusiast
There's nothing wrong with stand-alone DLC, and nothing negative comes from it.
As the article points out, inFamous: First Light and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are available on disc too, which emphasises how Sony considers them. I'm sure Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds will be a $40 disc release too.
The Lost Legacy is really pushing the standard though for what is considered as stand-alone DLC. It was just supposed to be a short expansion, and now it's a fully fledged 8-or-so hour game, like the Drake's Fortune. Great stuff.
Left behind is not one of the best games.
Combined with the story of the last of us it is. By itself it lacks the emotional impact and looses the novelty of gameplay changes in comparison to the main game. They belong together.
I could say the same about last light, minus the emotional impact.
All opinion, not fact. No use in getting upset 'cause you may not agree, I'd love to hear how I'm wrong though... In a civil manor.
That's true. Without the foundation it flounders. It doesn't make it any less good, but the main story IS essential.
*Lost Legacy may be the exception. I like me some Chloe, but I certainly don't have an emotional attachment to the character, like I do with some others.
Hmm you make a decent point but...You say its great combined with story of the last of us but then say it lacks the emotional impact and looses the novelty of gameplay to the main game. If you have never played the main game you don't know it lacks the impact and the novelty of the gameplay wouldn't be lost. Taken on its own it should still be great because it does those things just not to such a degree as in the main game...
Uh what? I personally haven't encountered this negative stigma you are referring to.
TLoU is one of my favorite games of all time, but I didn't really like Left Behind that much. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but I dunno, I thought the best thing about TLoU was the Ellie and Joel dynamic, and after playing through the game, and going to a DLC without Joel, just felt like a downgrade to me personally. I didn't think Ellie stood that well on her own. Maybe I'd feel the same way about a Joel solo experience as well, I dunno. There were parts of the game without Ellie and without Joel, but they were part of your goal, whereas there was a complete disconnect with the DLC. I understand that most people love it, and that's great, but just didn't enjoy it that much personally.
Its a nice trend giving single player fans more of what they want plus the value is amazing. You get a full game for dlc price. I'd rather drop 39.99 on an 8 to 10 hour campaign than a few map packs. I just picked up killzone intercept for like 5.99 can't wait to play it. That midyear sale is fantastic! So many good games dirt cheap.

To bad most racing games are just drive around in a city and race instead of being a proper arcade racer like blur and burnout revenge .
Agree, NFS used to be all Arcade . now as you said driving around in a city. Nooooo one hardly to race with just driving around wasting time drifting.

Winner of 2014 GT Academy to race at 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours
Le Mans, France – In 2011, after three years of racing, Lucas Ordonez became the first GT Academy winner to compete at Le Mans.
In 2013, after just two years of racing, Jann Mardenborough made his debut at La Sarthe.
Now, in 2015, Gaetan Paletou will race a Nissan-powered LM P2 car at Le Mans, just 10 months after winning GT Academy.
Since winning GT Academy Europe on 6th August 2014, Paletou has been on Nissan’s intensive driver development programme, the same programme that prepared Jann Mardenborough for GP3 and Lucas Ordonez for Super GT. He raced a Nissan 370Z to numerous victories in club races to obtain his racing licence in time to compete at the 2015 Dubai 24 Hours in a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.

I wonder if I should get DiRT 4. I'm definitely getting NFS 2017 but I hope The Crew 2 is good. I was about to get the complete edition of The Crew when they announced The Crew 2 so we're see at E3.
Driveclub director, Paul Rustchynsky, confirmed to fans on Twitter that neither versions of Driveclub will support the Playstation 4 Pro.
A LOT of games will not be patched.. I have yet to get a PS4... I'm just simply at this point looking to get the old fat one on a cheap price and be done with all this.
Or just buy the pro and play the future games that will take advantage of the Pro's extra power?
It's not mega power it's an upgrade to upscale Playstation games.
You really think 4.18 TFLOP is going to provide you mind blowing stuff then get ready for shattered dreams.
@Artemidorus
I've been blown away by OG PS4 games, so I think I'll be good with more than double the GPU power.
which games will take advantage of the pro's power? that's where the messaging goes flat and driveclub wont be one of them.
@Artemidorus i think you mistaken what you said will be true about the scorpio when that comes out it will show very little difference between it and PS4 Pro
The studio is defunct, why would anyone in their right mind think that their games would be upgraded to PS4 Pro?
Save yourself a couple bucks and buy the older PS4 when everyone unloads and you can get a good deal.
Money is better spent on the console that will see a much bigger difference in power, Xbox One -> Scorpio, and still be faster than the Pro, and will be able to utilize your new 4K TV with higher resolution games and UHD playback.
Or just get a Scorpio and be done with Sony. The whole DriveClub debacle is a slap in the face, and then Sony goes out and bars EA Access, prevents cross-play with Xbox, and prevents mods (like on Fallout 4) while raising the cost of PS+.
Now Sony won't even bother supporting their own new console, PS4 Pro. Sony truly didn't leave PS4 Slim/Standard user behind, they instead gimped PS4 Pro. I guess you get what you pay for.
Vote with your wallet people! Vote with your wallet! #4theplayers
@donthate...isn't your name cynical? Just saying.
Exactly. Vote with your wallet. Nothing wrong with the existing PS4 and a great opportunity getting into it when more used boxes will become available. And while the PS4 pro won't see immediate massive upgrades (it still runs current games faster and more stable, user interface and all that will benefit from the 500MHz clock upgrade also), framerate will be more stable, and dynamic resolution scaling will probably always reach to full 1080p (while there aren't really a lot of games out which do that) - without patching any games. And that for roughly $50 more if you are in a market for a new machine. Just add a 1TB drive to the entry level PS4 (or XB1S) and you would totally miss out on that for JUST $50 more. 500GB runs out fast, I wonder if I should upgrade my standard or just trade it in against a Pro. It does not have any negatives vs. the Standard model, but it will only get the benefits in the long run. Scorpio is a year out. If you guys are lucky. the Pro will prepare a 4K market by then so you will actually have games to play on that machine. Or are you saying by some magic, the Scorpio will all of a sudden run existing XB1 games with new feature without patching?
@ Artemidorus
The ones who's dreams are going to be shattered by the reality of Scorpio are going to be the ones putting all stock into it 12+ months ahead of time (based on a single number and PR claims), and the same ones that believed in the lies of cloud processing and DirectX 12 to save the XB1 from inferior experiences. Sony's hardware-based checkerboard rendering method is going to bring the image quality of upscaled 4K so close to native that it's going to be painful. Just like it's painfully cringeworthy to look back on the embarrassments that argued "the power of the cloud", DX12 and hidden GPU secret sauce.
But I'm probably not going to have a 4K screen so I won't care and will continue to play amazing looking supersampled 1080p games, with richer scene detail and improved frame rates.
People can boast 4K all they want, but who didn't have a 1080p screen in 2013?
Can't say the same about 4KTVs.
-----
@ Donthate
Damn.... the PS4 Pro really is exposing the Xbox fanboys and undercover shills like nothing else. Lack of an EA vault, mods and cross-play that XB1 is not going to get anyway, is definitely going to annoy the small percentage of gamers that ACTUALLY care about it, to switch to Scorpio.
Honestly, what you gonna bring up next? Lack of a non-gaming UHD Blu-ray drive? How about things like, you know, GAMES.... the things that Sony has more of and that are better?
-----
@ moldybread
King Disingenuous Liar is back. Aside from the bunch of games Sony has announced, and the mandate for PS4 Pro games from October onwards..... the messaging for PS4 Pro is stronger and more honest than Scorpio's that's for sure. The flip-flopping executives of Xbox have talked about "uncompromised 4K", whilst saying that not all games will be 60fps (which is a compromise), whilst committing all their first-party games to native 4K over higher-detail and better frame rates (the things they claimed to value more before Scorpio was announced), and thus third-party devs will experience compromise too. Xbox as usual, has way worse mixed messaging, but you're not bothered about talking about it. You'd rather throw shade at Sony.
You will want a 1TB at least, a Slim or old model with 1TB is $350/€350, for only 50 more you have the Pro...
All future games will have patches and older games still might get them anyways...
I'm about to put mine on ebay for 200$. Seeing that I will be upgrading to the pro. If interested PM me.
Ok, so let me get this straight. All of the PS4 games will in fact play on the PS4 Pro, but unless all these developers patch the games to take advantage of the PS4 Pro 4K upscaling and HDR10 support, all the games will still run and look just the original PS4 version. Is this correct? Is this what Evo Studios are talking about. They won't patch their DriveClub or DriveClub VR game to take advantage of all the PS4 extra features and horsepower? That's totally screwed for Sony if it's only a few of their 1st party titles that are getting patched.
Why would devs want that? For games which still sell this makes sense, but for games which reached their sweetspot in sales (= they aren't really selling any more) means, developers have to put work in those games without getting compensated. Or are you telling me, you'd pay for a Pro patch?
I do expect older games will still run slightly better. If they are unlocked, they will run a higher framerate. If they use some dynamic resolution scaling (which would dip below 1920 pix per line), those games will most likely never dip. Not a massive upgrade, but it will still make it more stable. BF will be close to stable 60fps, for example.
So, if you are in for a new machine, there is really no reason not to get that model.
Wii U was "twice the power" of PS3 and yet, for all intents and purposes, they look pretty close to the same. "Twice the power" is paltry. 10x-20x.... That's when it'll start blowing you away.
There goes the hype for Driveclub running FULL EFFECT on PS4PRO :(
Respect for Paul and his team. They slip a bit at first then work very hard on Driveclub to make on of the best racing games of this generation.
seeing as how the studio is defunct, i don't see how/why they would be able to work on something new for this game...
Sony owns the IP...
@Ziggur Sony can just pass it off to another studio.
Dude, did you even read this article?
The studio was defunct and still working on Driveclub VR. The creative director of DC said they would do the work but Sony hasn't asked.
It was a question that was also an answer. One of those, who do you think would make it, the same people making the VR version
PS Pro was just announced not too long ago... There are many games released already that I don't think they will all get patched either. Maybe only the most relevants will. Besides, Evolution was closed down. They should look for who would do the enhancement first
It is still possible, but like Paul said "they haven't been asked to do it yet," Propably because all the focus is being put in DC VR atm. Now Driveclub in HDR and 4k upscaled should look fkin outstanding, or maybe make the fps 60?
The VR version is not getting PS4 Pro support...it's launching in October.
It's not happening unless we demand it.
I'd rather have a new motorstorm. Preferably back on an island or the desert. I'd accept a forest.
I‘m still pissed about what happened with Evolution, Driveclub could be a great franchise with many sequels, we could have another Motorstorm too. But lets make another deal for multiplats like NMS and Everybody‘ Gone to the Rapture, right Sony?
Right! Let's also keep making more games with the other 11 studios they still have :×
Because having a 12th would have been too much? EVO didn't deserve to be closed after one bad launch. It would be interesting to see where Sony would be today if fans had a voice instead of blindly following every misstep.
No one bought the game enough to keep the studio alive. Everyone opt for the free version and touted it was the best racing game but never supported it and bought the full version.
Truth.
For example. Look at No Man Sky. Not the greatest game, but was hyped and sold at $60. Made tons of money and company is still up and running.
Like @imalwaysright said.
Fans are the ones who critique sonys actions and demand better.
All the others are like you said, blind sheep.
@voodoo.
2 different cases here.
i bought drive club, yes some people waited for the free one.
Hello Games isn't owned by anyone, if they closed shop it would have been at their own dicision, not sony's
Lol at Death spewing troll comments on everything Sony related.
Maybe if you Microsoft fans didn't allow Microsoft to bend them over so much without speaking up they'd perhaps have a chance of outselling the PS4.
lol people act like Sony closed the studio to put them on punishment. Sony doesn't exactly have endless funds laying around, and sometimes decisions have to be made to fit their financial responsibility. If you want to fund them, I'm sure they'd be willing to entertain your proposal.
Ah yes.... Good old Death - the fanboy who pretends he's not.
Downplays Microsoft closing Lionhead Studio, where the staff didn't even know about their job losses or the studio closure until it was publicly announced it for everyone on the Internet to see. Those guys didn't deserve that treatment or for their game to be cancelled for nobody to be able to play it outside of beta trials. But... Microsoft.
Yet.... Talks about Sony closing Evolution Studios after one bad launch, even though Sony gave them plenty of notice for their redundancies and respectfully ensured that the whole team could go on in tact with the same company name and culture over at Codemasters, and make amazing racing games together again, on all platforms. Sometimes things don't work out, but there's a right way and a wrong way to handle closures.
And there's a clear cut way in which Microsoft handles things, compared to Sony. One is respectable and the other is despicable and rancid. You only have to look at their recent history, including things like expectations put on the developers of Phantom Dust and the ongoing Lionhead treatment.
Really, you even had the gall to LIE about the DriveClub VR project being cancelled despite no evidence supporting it. What does that say about you or the validity of what you go around saying about Sony and their direction? Not much in all honesty.
Would be interesting to see where Microsoft would be today if they let their studios make new IPs and trust in their vision over a number of years. You know... instead of closing down 8 of them earlier this year in one foul swoop and thus having the fewest first-party studios they've had in years. That is better for the Xbox brand though...... right?
What about all those delays of first-party Xbox games, that Sony gets all the attention for, but Xbox fanboys ignore in their own back yard? What about all the failed new IP this gen at the hands of Microsoft? What about the pre-requisite of being an Xbox fan in 2016, and having wait 10 months for a quality AAA exclusive to hit their box?
Seems like Xbox fans - like you Death - go blind for these things, and many would rather boast about a console they aren't close to knowing even a fraction about yet, and a non-gaming Blu-ray drive that makes use of a TV they didn't care about having until Microsoft told them it was the future, about 15 months ahead of time.
-------
@ Death (continued)
MotorStorm Apocalypse also had a poor & unfortunate launch too in 2011, and didn't do well for Sony.
MotorStorm RC's reception might be worth questioning too.
This is not "one bad launch", but why am I not surprised to see you pretending it is?
DriveClub VR wasn't reported by anyone that would have actually had a source. I thought you pride yourself on that. Usually you are the one to try and outsmart others by digging up facts and links, so that's not convincing of an excuse you've used either. You made it up yourself and/or spread a lie that was nowhere confirmed.
The rest of my post (of course) you don't wish to address, but deflect on me, because you know it's all true and yet you don't want to admit it, or expose the double standards of the Xbox fanboys that you love to defend. Reminds me of Gangsta_red, cause that's exactly what he does too. Focus on what you think you can outsmart, and ignore the rest and make the argument about good ol' DR, rather than your own disingenuousness.
@DR,
The closure of both studios sucked. EVO shouldn't have been closed after one bad launch no matter how you want to spin it. The launch of DC was horrible, but I don't regret buying the game. DC:VR was reported as being cancelled, not something I "made up". Glad to see its coming out.
The rest of your post is typical DR. Thanks for the reply.
They used the money that could have kept evolution open to pay for call of duty early map packs and exclusive destiny strikes.
Pacific Rift is still one of the best racing games on PS3. I'd love a new Motorstorm game
Well on the positive side, this kind put those Pro is needed for VR crap to rest. We've heard nothing but good things about this game and the whole time it's been running on OG PS4s.
Now the rest of you can complain about this article...haha. It's Friday and I'm tired of all the doom and gloom all the time. Happy Friday people!!
Until we people demand it. The game will working fine on PS4 and it still working fine on VR as well.
the moment when you realize that games like gears of war 4 will already have 4K textures by the time the game releases and once scorpio is out, all you need to do is download the game on scorpio and it will automatically scale to the better hardware without waiting for a patch.
Oh please, don't bring the Scorpio up into this non Xbox article! What's the bloody point?
Ohhh, your future console is so special that games releasing soon will already have code/assets included so it will run on Scorpio next year comes out?
Newsflash: all future games coming out for PS4 will have Pro support from the get go, DriveClub VR is just a special case since it's a VR version of an older game and the studio doesn't exist anymore.
Besides, how do you know the Xbox One version of Gears 4 already has 4k assets? Got a source for that? That the PC version has them doesn't mean a gosh darn thing and you know that...
Don't reply to an off topic. Just move on. Besides I've seen you bring up non related stuff before. Just move along and ignore or report.
@game4funz
Yeah, I know, you're right, but I don't just hate it when people bring off-topic crap into such threads but even more hate it when they say stupid shit, so I reply to the stupid shit! :)
And when I do make off-topic replies it's usually either that I'm trying to make light of this fanboy/girl crap with a joke OR, which is often more the case, someone made a remark that was on-topic but clearly was also a jab at something else that I just can't let go :)
http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
"Anybody who buys an Xbox One today, they already are buying Scorpio games. There are already games that will look better and games that will be in 4K. So they're already invested in Scorpio. All their accessories work, and their account carries over, and it's going to be seamless."
fom Albert Penello..
The 4K textures are most likely not included into the XB1 games but they are already created by the Devs by the time scorpio launches. That's the whole Point of DX12 a more or less single development Environment.
what i meant is that ps4 games need to be patched in order to take advantage of the pro and increase fps and resolution. on xbox one s however the exact same games perform a little better than on the og xbox without a patch. i believe scorpio will also increase framerates without a patch. i think there will be different binaries in the xbox store for xbox one and scorpio where scorpio has 4k textures are available if the dev implements it. granted, its a lot of speculation and i apologize for bringing up scorpio in a drive club article. i sincerly hope i did not ruin your day. mines awesome because i will now go back to playing FH3.
Considering all you know about the Scorpio is a couple of words on a glorified powerpoint presentation and given MS's long history of exaggeration and lying about new tech, you are sure making a lot of assumptions.
Maybe he could ask Milo about the new specs using his Kinect and Hololens...oh...nevermind. #pipedreams
The moment you realize Gears isn't out in 2 weeks:)
The moment you realize you're holding ontop a dream of tomorrow, that will always be tomorrow
The moment you realize no one was talking about scorpio so don't bring it up
yes, tell me more about how a restricted PC launching at the end of next year is in any way relevant to DriveClub.
So funny when people are fantasizing about a future console which won't be out for more than a year...btw the game will have these textures because it will be on PC.
"fom Albert Penello..
The 4K textures are most likely not included into the XB1 games but they are already created by the Devs by the time scorpio launches. That's the whole Point of DX12 a more or less single development Environment."
Cute quote, pulled out of context, the exact same thing can be said about the PS4 Pro as he means that all games are forwards compatible.
Then what you say about the textures not being included in X1 games means the games need a patch. 4k textures are already available for games from 2015 (and earlier) since there are PC versions that have them, still needs to be patched, games need to be tested on the new hardware, etc., etc.
And what you say about DX12, well, have news for you: the dev. environment for the Pro and regular PS4 is EXACTLY the same as well.
All this means that even for the Scorpio, games need to be patched, tested, etc. before they can use any of the new stuff.
-----
@mozzie
You didn't ruin anything, had a great day, thanks!
You just seemed rather misinformed and quite a bit believing in your own fantasies. And no, I don't think the Scorpio will have two different binaries in the Xbox store, would be totally weird, but hey, it's MS, they're software wizards am sure they, wait, they are the software wizards, not Sony, and Sony can make it one executable and MS can't? That seems weird.....
This article reeks of fanboyism. If you dont like it dont play it! /s
Huh? Not getting it? Someone who likes PlayStation and writes about a PS4 game and isn't happy that a game isn't getting a PS4 Pro patch is reeking of fanboyism?
What? Can't people write about an exclusive game anymore? or can't people say something negative at all?
People still care about this crap game ?
Delayed for almost a year and still launched without a lot of content, the whole PS+ debacle, half the game's content is locked behind a season pass, awful AI, a crappy penalty system etc etc
An awful game when compared to Forza 5,6 and Horizon 2 and 3, christ, PGR3 is a better game and that was a 360 launch title.
Hoping GT Sport will bring some driving glory back to the Playstation, almost 3 years since the PS4's launch and no good exclusive driving games. Chop chop Sony.
Yes ppl do. "I didn't like it so no one else does" This is what you sound like.
Utter tosh, the base game is pretty feature packed and is flipping brilliant to play. The season pass is like 10 quid now and doubles the content so is an utter bargain.
You sound like someone who has never played it to me.
Crappy penalty for hitting other drivers. someone wont be very good at Gran Turismo and instead likes using other cars and walls as brakes and padding for dem turnz
I *holds up finger*, ehhhm, better not say anything *whistles*
I did start out to play this game like a real arcade game tho, doing just like you say, haha. Then I got a bit better, but still cursed like all heck when AI cars bumped into me and I got penalised for it! Thankfully it's not that bad anymore.
It's actually a great game, in my opinion. Yes, the game's online stuff was crappy on launch, *shudder*, but they solved it, thankfully.
You didn't even play the game...spare us with your fanboy garbage please.
Your comment = the voice of somebody who hasn't played the game.
DriveClub is good, but knowing that depends on your experience.
XD
About 7 up to now out of the thousand. Whoever is buying the Pro:
Shame on you.
But I bet you already got your pre-order in for your fave brand's mid-gen upgrade, huh?
Would love to see driveclub at 60fps, it really would be the icing on the cake. Gutted that Evolution were shut down, DriveClub blossomed into such a good game
I'm guessing that not all games will be economical sensible to add PS4Pro support for. And some games and game engine will be so heavily designed around 30 fps that it's not possible for more.
Does the PS4 Pro still run all old games at higher resolutions? If it renders old games at 1800p then I'll probably buy it, but if my entire games library so far (well, most of it) will look exactly the same on this more powerful hardware, it's a no go for me. I'm a huge Playstation fan, but that just doesn't make sense.
Old game need to be patched by the developers to support the extra power the PS4Pro have. But almost all the big AAA games coming now will support it. Games like Titanfall 2, For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildland, Mafia 3, Resident Evil 7, Horizon Zero Dawn, Skyrim, Battlefield 1, Rise of the Tomb Raider etc etc..
Older games that will get patched that I know of are inFAMOUS Second Son, Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us. My guess is that most of Sonys own and third party studios will get a patch.
There are more, even Shadows of Mordor is getting a patch. Am sure more games will get one, when is probably dependent on how busy those studios are now with other projects that are on a deadline...
That is a huge downside. I literally have zero excitement for this console now.
"That is a huge downside. I literally have zero excitement for this console now."
What the fuck?! Either you know nothing about technology or are just naive.
Pretty much every game I own (other than infamous second son and the last of us) will look/perform EXACTLY the same on this upgraded hardware. How is it naive to view that as a downside? I mean, think about it, 3 years from the Pro's launch (at least) HALF of the PS4 library won't make use of the over twice as powerful GPU.
I have a different opinion than you. For me, if the pro just plain and simply ran any game rendered at 1080p at 1800p then upscale, I think I would buy it. But if for years to come, the majority of existing PS4 games will look identical between the models, what's the point? If I spent another hundred dollars I could buy a PC that outputs similar performance not just on new games, but on all games. Games released before holiday 2016 wouldn't just make use of half my device's horsepower.
As much as I loved DC on release it was a bit up its own arse to be honest. The devs did a bit of no man's - I remember the pump about thousands of individuals trees on the mountain ranges - a little bit less of hype and redundant rendering and a bit more fps to 60 woulf have been amazing.
Sony doesn't want driveclub as its visual show piece (even though it is). They want to give that honor to Gran Turismo.
I'm hoping they at least apply a HDR patch, that would benefit the entire PS4 community.
Sony is run by a man who sits on his hands to hide where he puts his thumbs.
Are people special and slow these days? It WILL play on PS4 Pro, it just won't add 4K/upscaling/more fps (like anybody needs them in this game lol).
And? Why would you freak out about that? It would be cool, but nobody is obligated to patch older games to take advantage of the power.
Did you read the article? They went through the hassle of building an entirely new game and it won't support the new flagship PS4. Does that not strike you as a bit moronic?
Ever since people let a Scorpio pipedream into their minds, Sony is the desired whipping boy.
To blame for everything, no matter how insignificant. Microsoft makes a few claims about the future, and some good steps forward in console features, and suddenly everything Sony isn't doing because of a completely normal lack of obligation to do so, is scrutinised.
Looking forward to a PS4P so this is kinda dissapointing. I mean who wouldnt want to play DriveClub with all effects, weather on at 60fps? Yet I dont blame Sony. DC is a 2years old game and I dont think there is enough interest for it to justify the expending. Btw, the title is wrong, every ps4 game supports Ps4p.
Evolution should have been kept alive and handed the reins for GT Sport. That way Polyphony could just do GT7.
I am surprised they didn't do something like that. Evo could have been like the Playground Games to Polyphony.
Evolution Studios is alive and currently happy making great racing games at Codemasters.
They do not make racing sims, it's not in their DNA. Your idea sounds terrible to me.
I've had my disagreements with PS4 Pro but when you actually consider everything you're getting for 400 bucks it's really not bad at all. Much is made of it not having a built in 4k bluray player or being able to play native 4k games, but when you consider how much it will cost to build that on a PC then the PS4 Pro becomes one heck of a bargain. Just the GPU alone required to play 4k games cost a lot more than the entire console itself. Thats not including Ram, the 4k blu ray drive, and other components. Even after you've spent $1000+ putting all that together, you're still gonna need a Television or monitor that can display it, which will run you at least another $700. So yeah, I believe PS4 pro was the right decision. As gamers we always want more, but it's al about what your wallet can handle.
all future games will be pro enhanced, some older titles may get patched. either way the pro will make gamers happy and should sell well alongside the regular ps4. i think its gonna have excellent grafix tbh. other consoles are far too behind to be relevent imo and the best thing is theres nothing you can do about it...
Too bad but they could patch it in the future?
At least the game (and the graphics) are great anyway. I imagine that with the Pro it would be even more beautiful ;)
Drive club is garbage anyway.. Weak physics unrealistic car handling and don't get me started on the mph sync with movement.. Wayyyyyy off. It's good they got closed down we don't need these weak developers making fugazie games...
Drive club on the pro would be amazing. Give us a 1080p 60 fps option and a 4k option. Drive club turned into a really good game and imo its the best racer on the system.
Hasn't this opinion piece been floating around for like a week? Why is it just now popping up out of nowhere like it's a big deal?
This one, may have been, but this same article/complaint was in pending like a week ago, and was failed. Now I guess it's back and better than ever. Make mountains out of molehills, and be as dramatic as you can. #bestdoneontheweekend
I bet most games probably won't get patched which is why I am stinking with the original.
But do Paul's words hold weight? He hasn't worked at Sony or on Driveclub in close to 6 months.
guys just move on from drive club, they've had their share of chances, its better to just wait for GT, i'm sure it will support pspro's extra power.
will be buying that tonight, the amount of support this game had since launch is great. I hope it also has a second platinum, just as a bonus. the link in the op isnt working, http://youtu.be/PLx4lW1cjdI
