Niall De'Ath writes: "Elite Dangerous will soon be unleashing its most ambitious expansion yet in Horizons. Previously, information had been somewhat scarce, but in a lengthy live stream by the game’s creators, Frontier Developments, the update’s planetary exploration features have been shown off in all their dune buggy glory."
In a highly controversial decision developer Frontier has made the decision to allow players to buy ships with real money in their long running game Elite: Dangerous, sparking outrage amongst the community.
'Elite Dangerous' lets you live any kind of life you want in space. From dogfights with pirates to peaceful science missions, there's an option for every playstyle.
What do you mean by quietly?
They announced it last week along the other games that was released yesterday on PS+ Extra/Premium.
Great game, sadly abandoned by the developers due to the different version it ran compared to PC.
Plenty of hours to be had, we just miss out on a bunch of cool features and story development compared to PC players.
Nah I'm good this the dev team that had console plans then decided not to and only work on the PC version why would I support a trash company
its ok. its def a pc game that made its way to console randomly. been out for a few years so its not exactly "new".

This is seriously what it looks like?
1 minute of exploration on a single planet in No Man's Sky looks far more vibrant and interesting than 1 hour of this bleak, empty stuff on Elite. They might as well not bother. Can't say this is one of the features I'm looking forward to when it comes to PS4.
I've got to say...that is the most boring footage I've seen of this game thus far. This isn't making me want it more, I'm actually not looking forward to this title, not even a little.
Show some life and interesting reason to explore and maybe I might care.
That was simply incredible! Looking forward to more future updates.
The terrain itself is a bit underwhelming visually, but that's about the only complaint I have.
People calling it boring without having seen any actual gameplay aside from a stream showing off the buggy handling. If you take that stream for what it is, the stuff they showed was quite impressive. Exploration will have the same sense of awe and realism as the rest of Elite
As for the more exciting planet-side gameplay, here :
