Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden is a good fighting game with tight controls, but falls short due to its lackluster dialogue and lack of over-the-top, exciting effects.
In Japan, owners of the Nintendo 3DS fighting games One Piece: Great Pirate Colosseum and Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden can now engage in cross-game battles.
Why the hell is he blue...DB should have just stopped after GT( only because of SSJ4 and Gogeta)...I Am a diehard fan of dragon ball but I can't get behind this silliness.
GT seems to no longer be canon, as one of the English voice actors confirmed. That said, the current arc in DBS is absolutely fantastic, and I would recommend it to any DBZ fan.
Yeah GT was garbage goku didn't evolved though fighting till the end on súper he keep getting stronger and in the latest arc they have to fight a inmortal with future goku body
Bandai Namco has announced that One Piece: Great Pirate Colosseum and Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden will have crossover game play, so that users of one of these two titles will fight in the other, permitting clashes mode between characters of One Piece and Dragon Ball.

Avalanche never released a patch to improve the framerate on the console versions of JC3 like they said they would, so screw them.
Yea, and the PC version is not better either. No triple buffering, so when the fps drops to 59, it locks to 30. And the game is so poorly optimized, even on PC, that it constantly drops below 30fps.

I didn't try the console version, but the PC version isn't really well optimized. But like every unoptimized games, if you have a high-end PC, you will not really run into a lot of issues and it will be playable.
I don't think it's a bad game per se, but devs have been really dicky with the community. On Steam, they promised optimization patches to fix the problems, but it never came. They actually stop patching the game after christmas and completely stopped answering the community. The only patch we get now is for the DLC support. This is unacceptable, especially when you look at devs like CDPR that, more than a year after the release of The Witcher 3, are still patching the game and trying to make it better and better.
I loved Just Cause 2 and Mad Max and had respect for the devs, but that game made me lost all respect for them and Square Enix (they're the publishers so they should ensure quality of the products with their name on it and not rush releases).

Wow, it sounds like its even worst on the PC. I cant stand those kinds of swings in framerate. And how a PC cannot support triple buffering is beyond me.

The game itself is not bad and its fun but im just disappointed by the fact that they said they would improve the framerate and never did.
Doesn't sound like much effort is made to bring in those new to Dragon Ball Z which is a shame. Will pass.
A fan of DBZ since I was a kid, I'm really disappointed by the lack of playable characters. I know they're awful, but being able to play as Hercule or Yamcha would have been nice. Hell, only having Final Form Frieza, and Perfect Cell is ridiculous. For a series made popular by its Super Saiyan transformations, there is no Super Saiyan 2, 3, or (non-canon) 4 playable. Shame.
