Black Desert's Buy to Play Model Won't Work

Black Desert Online officially announced a buy to play business model in the West for North America and Europe. This should be similar to Guild War 2's model before it went free to play, but I don't think it's going to work well for Black Desert.

I'm shocked it's coming to the Xbox consoles, just seems a waste or money and time for little in return.

Well, you shouldn't. Black Desert is already available on the Xbox One, and thanks to Microsoft's streamlined game SKU management, it's highly probable that the developers simply have to press a button to make it a native port. The one that will need more time and money is the Playstation version, that will likely need a completely new SKU for the native version to work.

Only the reality, unfortunately. Sony did an excellent job on the PS5 software, but they didn't put the same effort into the PSN. The way the system handles licenses is terrible.
