Adam Lloyd writes: "Metal Gear Online is a game that doesn’t need to exist. Considering the length and quality of the outstanding Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, including a whole online version with the game seems like a fantastic bonus. After exhausting the single player exploits of Big Boss, there’s no question that you’ve already had your value for money, but Metal Gear Online provides an additional reason for players to return.
While many single-player-focused games feature unnecessary online modes, MGO is a whole experience in its own right, but somehow feels unnecessary for completely different reasons. Like a sandwich toaster, you’ll probably never use it after the novelty wears off, but it’s nice to know you have it."

...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
I like the analogy with the sandwich toaster! Pretty much sums it up.
I'm hoping the more CoD-ish players will be moving on once the mothership (this year's CoD) calls them home. I enjoy the game despite the irritation of host disconnection, but I wish I could Automatch into a playlist of only big maps. Gameplay on the Rush maps is pretty much always more run and gun. On the big maps, at least sometimes, gameplay can be very tactical and stealthy.
