The Division lets players go anywhere from the start, but good luck | PixelVulture

PixelVulture: "We got our hands on one of the most anticipated titles of 2016, Ubisoft’s The Division. The game is set in a mid-crisis New York City and it’s the player’s mission to help restore order by investigating the source of a virus. Along the way you will team up with your friends as you take on the militant groups and the rebels who have taken it upon themselves to take advantage of the situation, and take control of the city and its landmarks."

I just want to know the size of the map..

alfcrippinjr3144d ago

i like to know if the game is going to be offline.

and with a story mode.

and not another god dame only online play game
not everyone can afford psn or high speed internet.

i wonder if they did cancel the offline campaign

going to suck if they did this

it not going to be a open world map :(

MakieCoco3144d ago

The game is always online. You cannot play this offline, although you can play it alone.

WellyUK3144d ago

since when has this game been shown off as a SP game? Every video has shown it as a sort of MMO...

So why are you thinking it's a SP game?

Sadly you might get that as it looks more like a glorified Co-op game now than what they first showed.

PreAtaric3143d ago

"it looks more like a glorified Co-op game now than what they first showed."

What they first showed was more co-op than competitive.

WellyUK3143d ago

Every video has built up to some form of PvP.

RobLoPR3144d ago

I just want to know the release date...

RobLoPR3144d ago

I just hope it doent get delayed...

Angeljuice3144d ago

It seems odd to hope it isn't delayed when you didn't even know the release date until now.

Ikki_Phoenix3143d ago

once they downgrade everything we will know the release date

Gazondaily3144d ago

Yeah but will enemies be like level?? and be un-killable? That's kinda lame if true.

MakieCoco3144d ago

Yes, enemies will be leveled. It is an RPG so you will have to level up and gather better gear before heading into different parts of the city.

RobLoPR3144d ago

That happened in Destiny also... you had to die twice to say "ok cant come here yet"

Gazondaily3144d ago

But thats lame for human enemies. Them sponging fifty thousands bullets is going to be weird. Unless of course they have super mega auto aim and insta kill bullets. That would be cool.

Mind you, they could also employ technology like drones that can sponge more

zerocarnage3143d ago

In mmorpg, if you have insta kill on, games would get boring, players would complete mmorpg games in not time. The sponge effect is required so a group of players simply do not feel like god from word get go and so that there resistance in the game, it has been one of the very main reasons why mmorpg's have been popular. Imagine going to a high level zone n just shooting them once, without the sponge effect itd be god damn walking in the park through n through the entire game..

But players are going off as if the sponge effect in this game is as bad as other mmo games and by what ive seen from the videos, its most certainly not, taking around 3-6 shots n enemy isnt all that bad compared to most mmorpg games..

The map will be huge, they already said that, and players, playing alone do not have to wonder in dark zones, they can simply go through the full game without touching a dark zone. I cant wait to see how taking on your own base/bases with affect the different parts of the city/citys. The game is looking incredibly beautiful to me.

Hurry up march the 8th, even my sons wants this game for his birthday..

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno411d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic411d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman411d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon410d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
