well it's not hard to get, so what's the gripe about?

rdgneoz33157d ago

Yah, if you're leveling up gunsmith rep you'll get it one way or another. It's not hard at all.

Poli_Games3157d ago

Yeah for how good this gun is I wish it was a bit harder to get!

rdgneoz33157d ago

It's good, but it can easily be replaced. Hell, the Dead Orbit Hung Jury is one of the best guns you can easily get (Triple Tap, Firefly, near perfect stability, and highlighting enemies), and that lets you free to use another exotic like Spindle (which rapes a lot of bosses, especially in King's Fall) or a Sword.

A Sunsinger's Best Friend.

When you have your Super charged this thing turns into Mida Multitool + Vision of Confluence. Best Scout in the game when you have a Super, and only Touch of Malice and compete it then. Plus it looks great.

maybelovehate3157d ago

Oh, does it have solar burn! I might have to check it out. Loved my Vision, so many solar shields in this game.

rdgneoz33157d ago

The only primary in TTK so far that isn't Kinect damage is the Zhalo Supercell (Arc damage), which is great for trash mobs and quests involving super kills (like the sword quests) as multi kills charge your super a bit.

Overall, definitely a Sunsinger weapon since Radiance is situational so you'll have it charged for long periods of time. For Voidwalker or Stormcaller, it's easily replaced.

ABizzel13157d ago

@maybelovehate

No Solar burn, I think Zhalo Supercell is the only elemental primary thus from TTK.

Snookies123157d ago

My Warlock thanks you for this info, haha. Just got a 310 Invective the other day, so that's been fun to play around with. Going to have to grind up some rep for the Gunsmith.

Snookies123157d ago

@holdmyown83 - Once you hit 300+ light level, exotic decoding has a chance to drop 310 instead of the usual 290.

Ozmoses3157d ago

intriguing.. I mainly just play crucible.. Vision of Confluence never lets me down.

but this might come in handy for the Iron Banner/Trials since the light level recommendations...

but for normal crucible it's always VoC for me....

OutcastMosquito3157d ago

I got this pretty easily. Just took a little while...

Grrr, my weapon rank wasn't enough this week...

Destiny Made Over $160 Million In Microtransaction Revenue In Less Than 2 Years

Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.

Sgt_Slaughter366d ago

That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it

LucasRuinedChildhood366d ago (Edited 366d ago )

This was back when the game wasn't free to play.

The figures are from November 2017 to February 2019 (1 year and 4 months).

Based on that projection, the MTX revenue for Destiny 2 likely would have been closer to ~$240m for 2 years.

Not sure if premium expansions are included in that figure either although ... I'd hope that they are though and that most of the revenue was for actual content like Forsaken.

People spend way too much money on cosmetics.

Rude-ro366d ago (Edited 366d ago )

Seasons($10 and just got bumped to $12) and dungeon keys($10 each, two a year) are through the eververse(micro transaction) store.
So for those two years, in order to play a season, you would pay through micro transactions.

Sonic1881366d ago (Edited 366d ago )

Bungie Marathon will be worse since it's designed around it as well

Kurt Russell365d ago

It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.

buffig366d ago

I think FIFA alone makes over $1bn a year from mtx

anast366d ago

FIFA promotes a worldwide sport. It should make more money than destiny.

CantThinkOfAUsername366d ago (Edited 366d ago )

Let's compare something similar. Apex Legends and its ridiculous $18/$40 skins make EA a billion each year.

z2g366d ago

For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.

spicelicka366d ago

By "people" you're referring to millions and millions of people. Obviously the ones complaining aren't necessarily the same as the ones spending all that money.

There's millions that purchase MTX and there's nothing we can do about it

I've been thinking about playing through D1 again before it goes away...

CobraKai517d ago

That’s the sad reality of a game like this. I bought it, invested lots of money, and it can go away at anytime. I still think this was more fun than 2.

jeromeface516d ago

prob because 2 is a grindfest slog

spoonard514d ago

That's the bummer of 'games as a service'.
