No thanks, I am going with GH myself. Guitar Hero seems to bring more "new" to the table. This is just the same old RB. Snooze...zzz.zzzz.zzz

Enjoy your game with NO DLC, and a paid service then...LMAO new, there is nothing new about GH Live either except the paid service to get to stream new songs.....Love the way ZERO percent of GH DLC works with Live also but then again they let those licenses go years ago

GHTV is free with constantly updating music at no charge so there isn't a paywall like you're insinuating. Even GHTV Premium can be 'played' into rather than 'paid' into if you want.

Honestly, why hate on either one? There's room for both in the market and while I'll love playing my old songs on RB I can appreciate the innovation that GH is bringing. And before you ask... yes, I've played it... it's a shit ton of fun learning the new guitar.

no online or practice mode? just play Rocksmith unless you really want to play drums or sing.

Or buy Rock Band if you enjoy the rhythm game experience and don't care about learning the instrument, or want a party game.

Different strokes for different folks.

MercilessDMercer3128d ago

Sounds like I'm going to have to listen to people pretending like they know how to play instruments again....

Pffft... I play on expert, son! I'm basically about as badass as Dimebag himself. Haha

I can't wait to get out of work and pick up my pre-order from Best Buy. So excited this is finally out!

I really wanna jump in but no online coop is crazy. I don't wanna rock on my own, made lots of friends on RB. Also my ions aren't compatible, which is fine, but if I want to go back to plastic drums I would want the cymbals which aren't available here in uk...yet, pro drums is so much better. Great all my DLC works, but I think I may wait in hope they patch online in later.

Yeah, it seems like they might add it in the big free update in December. There's also support for non-madcatz drums, but I'm not sure which kind or which system.

@bruce

I read somewhere that it was something they were thinking about given the amount of people now asking for it (even though they didn't ask for it on the survey Harmonix sent out when they were working on the game).

I don't think it's official what the update entails, but they did say they were adding "social and competitive features" in a major, free update on December 8th.
