Having never played a MOBA, i decided to download this and see what the fuss is all about. After the initial tutorial, I figured this is just shooting the oponents, and decided I knew enough to jump into a public match.
The game played out as I thought, a screen full of bright colored attacks in every which direction, hardly knowing what was going on, but always aiming my attack at an opponent. Needless to say I didn't perform as well as the other players on my team, and we lost the match. I thought I hadn't done too badly for a first attempt, maybe if I change my character to find one that suits me more I might have a chance.
Then I got a message in my inbox, followed by another, and another. The hate that these vile human beings spewed towards a total stranger was absolutely disgusting, I literally couldn't believe what I was reading. So bad that I don't even want to repeat it here. If it was just one player sending those types of messages, I might've thought that this certain player was just out to cause an argument, but literally everyone on my team sent a hateful message.
After reporting each of the comments to microsoft, I immediately uninstalled the game from my hard drive. Why anyone would want to be associated with such a horrible community is beyond me, and my experience has soured me on the MOBA genre in general.
I would be interested to know if any other first time players shared my experience, or I just got connected to a bad bunch of players?
