GamersPlatform Writes:
"Siren: Blood Curse for the Playstation 3 is a remake of the original Siren game that was released for the Playstation 2 in late 2004. Although Silent Hill and Resident Evil games have been such big hits up until now, Siren was ignored by majority of the people who love horror-survival games. Despite its unpopularity in the United States, SCEA gives Siren one more chance to shine as they release Siren: Blood Curse on the Playstation 3 via the Playstation Network. Will this game have the essence of what we call a horror-survival game?
Siren: Blood Curse is divided into 12 chapter-like episodes and can be thought of as if watching a TV series. Each episode in the game can be rather short or long depending on how well the player plays. Expect to see some cliffhangers at the end of each episode but it is possible to go ahead and continue playing the next episode to find out more about the plot. If you've enjoyed watching TV series like Supernatural, you can treat this game the same without the commercials, so the thrill and excitement continues within this game." - Full review after the jump!
The WellPlayed team has come together to share which video games they’d like to see turned into a TV show.
If you're going to relive a nightmare, you might as well do it right.
One thing that's been prevalent now more than ever is video game remakes. Dormant series like Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, and System Shock aren't first getting brand-new sequels but remakes of the classic entries. Horror titles are no exception, with the recent Resident Evil, Dead Space, and Silent Hill remakes.
Putting aside whether these remakes are necessary, most of them are excellent. They can expand and enrich the world with added details, improve gameplay mechanics, or put more focus on the story. Standard remakes will count, but story remakes or reimaginings will also be included.
If Castlevania is there as an Horror Game then Demon's Souls should be there as well.
Also, you might want to add Shadow of the Colossus there too. Where you play as a mass murdering genocidal maniac on a warpath.
Forget jump scares; if you’re looking for a scary game to play this Halloween, you need to sit down with one of these great psychological horror games. Let the feeling of unease creep beneath your skin as you absorb yourself in the unnerving worlds of these incredible games.
These are our best psychological horror games of all time.
Siren: Blood Curse is the best horror game I've played so far this generation. In years even. Chapter 5 is absolutely freaking me out.
Yes, 9.3 is a deserving score. Resident Evil what and Silent Hill who? Chapter 7 was easily the most incredible, atmospheric level I've ever seen. WOW!
i love this game. i love how the gameplay changes a bit with the different characters. cant understand any score under 8 for this game. my second favorite game this year after MGS4.
