I see what you said as well. Although, I personally think that these comparisons are kind of pointless. You see the comparison now but when you're playing you can't. So besides knowing that you're seeing slightly more or less draw distance. It doesn't really matter that much.

Nope! According to NX Gamer perfomance analysis, Xbone version runs a bit worse. PS4 version has heavy volumetric effects and shadows, which Xbone lacks.

@Butchertroll...Umm, that's not what NX Gamer said at all. He said that his actual in-depth performance face-off is still to come. That video was just an initial quick analysis.

He mentions one cut-scene were the PS4 version has rays of light which are missing on the PC & XB1, but causes the PS4 version to drop to 20fps.

So let's wait for NX Gamer's actual in-depth analysis before we quote him as saying the PS4 version is better than the XB1 version.

As for now, Digital Foundry are the only people who have done an in-depth analysis / face-off and they said the Xb1 version is better than the PS4 version.

IGN really need to have a warning before these console war comparison videos they make saying that you should remove fanboy goggles before watching. PC obviously looks best but you have to get really nitpicky to see any differences between all 3, especially the console versions.

IGN is never reliable in these comparisons. In their MGSV comparison PC looks worse than PS4, but when Konami compared the versions PC looks miles better. I bet IGN PC settings are on default.

It is really stupid to compare these games on PCs ,.. there are billions of different combinations of hardware on PC,.. So basically if you have the hardware to run it maxed out and with some tweaking (or forcing lot of aniso passes for instance or even above native resolution rendering),..Only depends on how much money you spend on GPU(s),CPU and RAM.. PC will definitely always look and run better,..(not by much anymore though,.. It is not a time where you had 3d accelerated graphics with at least trilinear texture filtering at 1080p vs PS1 at 240p with texture warping craziness) So really don't see the point

First of all,.. not by much is true,.. It is not like your games have somehow higher geometry count ipso facto (Sorry I don't even have a 4K tv,.. Doubt the difference between full HD and 4K is as significant as between lower resolutions,..Law of diminishing returns is true,.. Hell even 900p does not look that horrible,.. If you were to play this at 144hz or g-synched would probably be preferable than resolution boost,.. (but then again ,.. native reso is awesome)

Not everyone will dish out the money to keep up with a PC that has max settings. I think the console versions are fine the way they are. Its only a multiplat anyway.. PS4 does a good enough job to keep me happy with the $400 i spent on it..

Lol..if I could I would buddy. Getting over 100fps takes alot of HP in most modern titles. I opened Pandora's box by getting a 144hz monitor... Now even 60fps doesn't cut the mustard for me.

The most amazing thing about the PC version of this game is how well optimized it is. It has all sorts of graphics settings, and I'm running them completely maxed out and never drop below 60 FPS on a 970. Makes me all the more eager to play Just Cause 3.

I'm playing it on my PS4 and it looks & runs great to me.
I did get a few drops in frame rate that I noticed twice while playing for many hours so not too interested in this article.

That said, I am interested in the game :) Hopefully someone playing can answer a question I have.
Note, possible spoiler ahead....
I collected the items for the Survey Crew for Jeet's Stronghold. Then I saw a message about them collecting scrap while your away from the game.
- How does this work exactly? Do you have to have your system on or on standby?
- Also, are there survey crews you can get at other strongholds?

Just got it myself, as far as I can tell it's just scrap from that stronghold (maybe the area, idk!) and you need an active Internet connection (guessing for the time!).

And family sure I've seen it at other strongholds.

Thanks. I really couldn't find any info online about earning scrap with the game shut down.
I keep getting off the main mission just visiting side locations and collecting scrap & taking down camps.
Do you have any idea what stock piling scrap at Jeet's will do? I mean I felt like I lost a lot giving them the second tier scrap stock pile. I know it helps them build up the stronghold but I wonder what it will do for me if I go and add another tier.
I would also like to know if the Allied camps (the ones you take over) that give out 20 scrap each every 20 minutes also continues while offline.

Maybe I just need the stategy guide :) .... but can't find one.

Both console versions look exactly the same for the most part. The PC version looks the best. The colors and textures on the PC version are more vibrant and tend to stand out a bit more compared to the console versions.

The PC version is the best, hands down. I don't care who you are, what systems you have, what fanboyism you have towards a particular system, PC wins all day every day. Consoles have a limit on how games can run on their systems because of the hardware inside the system, whereas a PC can have high end hardware that has the capabilities of pushing a game past that of a console. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of disagrees because it's N4G, but I don't care. I think it's sad that people want to blindly state something without doing the research or actually knowing what they're talking about. I'll admit, I too was blind to the facts until I built a PC for myself. When building a PC, you have to do research on what you're buying, and while buying said items, you like to compare those items with what's being used by consoles and other PC consumers. The PS4 runs on a GPU comparable to the Radeon HD 7870, the Xbone is something like a Radeon HD 7790. I currently have a GTX-970, which is extremely better than either of those. And while I know not everyone has a 970, my point is that if you know what you're doing, your PC will always be superior to that of your consoles. You can compare images all day, but a video will not do any game justice because the actual gameplay will always look better while playing it rather than viewing it in a video.
