Deadpool Remaster Coming to PS4 and Xbox One this November

GameStop just spilled the beans on a PS4 and Xbox One remaster of Deadpool, that was initially released in 2013 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

While I agree, they cost little to make since the resources are already there from the PC version whenever improved textures are involved. With the lack of backwards compatibility, there really is no reason not to re-release games that have any chance of making money.

Here's the problem. BC is up to the publisher. If they are releasing this remaster there's a chance that they won't support BC.

I hope this game isn't a full price tag I hope everyone at least give it an opportunity, the game is damn hilarious and it has a pretty solid gameplay, I play it on my PC and I still remember those Wolverine-Deadpool encounters lol, hell I think I will replay it on my PS4 :D

LOL. Activision is at it again as if the Prototype remasters weren't bad enough. This is the reason why they are the only major publisher missing from the XB1 BC list. Thank god most of their games are NOT worth playing.

Maybe the $50 price tag is a placeholder and it'll be priced lower at some point. Either way I'll get this eventually, but I'll wait for the price to lower if it does go for $50.

I bought this when they first announced they were removing it from the digital store on PSN.

I lot some way somehow it would make the physical copy that more rare and potentially a collector's item like games from the past.

but sadly that won't be the case..

still glad I got it though. It's a fun little game and captures Deadpool perfectly

I actually don't mind them re-mastering these games, but they need to add value when they do it.

Prototype's remaster added absolutely nothing to the game. Same textures, just rendered at a higher resolution and better framerates.

The best re-masters:

1) Upgrade the textures, character models, etc.
2) Add more content (All DLC is a given)
3) Modernize the gameplay if needed
4) Add more to the background of the game... Concept art unlockables, etc.

Activision is doing none of this... They are simply porting the games and charging gamers money again...

Better framerate? No, that's a lie. The PS3 version of Prototype ran 10-15 fps higher than the Xbox One. It's on yt. The game is complete scam, and should be illegal.

I'm totally fine with all the " remasters ". As I've said before bring em all on board, more the merrier. Not cool with the price for what is just a prettier pixel version for most of them.

Still, great time to exercise some patience and wait for a big mark down or in the used market.
