Star Wars Battlefont Won’t Have Special Edition Xbox Bundle According to EA

Just last week, EA unveiled a special edition Star Wars Battlefront PlayStation 4 bundle that featured Darth Vader on the face of Sony’s now-gen console, a well as a few other notable extras.

If you already have a PS4 and was hoping to get the Star Wars Battlefront Xbox One bundle, well, that won’t be happening anytime soon it seems. Over on EA’s official Star Wars site, Battlefront Community Manager Mathew Everett answered a few community questions, with one of the questions asking of the Star Wars Battlefront Xbox One bundle’s existence.

It really was expected with Sony having marketing rights to Battlefront.
And yeah I think so too, Star Wars is one of the top entertainment franchises. So some people probably won't be too happy not getting collectors editions of consoles for what is possibly going to be the biggest shooter this year.

Buying all star wars games on Xbox is good enough for me , not missing much console wise .

All Star Wars games? There's only going to be one this year for the Xbox one. 4 extra games and a stylish collectors console and controller is what you'll be missing out on unfortunately. Seems like there is some stuff that'll be missed.

I don't know why this needed a EA confirmation since it was pretty much well known that sony had exclusive marketing

Oh and ps4 will benefit greatly as suggested by star wars bundle sold out soon after announcement

November could be huge for ps4 with star wars bundle and possibly call of duty black ops 3 bundle

Even if it was on the XB1, I wouldn't be getting it anyways. The Darth Vadar design is ok, but I don't like the way the controller looks. Someone did a Hoth design with AT-AT's that was all white and the controller was awesome. I would get that one if it got made. In any case, I'm getting the game on my XB1 so I can play with my friends. I might get a copy for the PC as well.

I admit the Star Wars PS3 bundle could have been designed better, but it also should be admitted that the XBOX ONE is fairly ugly by default.

I said nothing about the design of the PS4 (or the xbox one for that matter). All I was saying is this PS4 Star Wars themed console was not great.

Lay the PS4 flat, look at it from the front and tell me it looks good. USB ports on the front are ugly and no LEDs. From the front it looks cheap which is why I'm guessing nearly every promotional shot of the PS4 is from the side and when its standing upright.

How is it hot air? People tried to blame EA and Microsoft for Sony not having EA Access on the PS4. When it was Sony all along who said it didn't represent value.

On the topic of this, Sony likely paid a ton of money to get a marketing deal for Battlefront to help cover for the fact that they lack any real AAA tent pole exclusives this holiday. So it makes sense there wouldn't be a Microsoft Star Wars bundle.

Unlike microsoft sony has had exclusives release all through out the year... there was not a single AAA xbox exclusive in 2015 until the gears of war remake came out days ago.

And there's like 2 or 3 for PS over the entire year. Why is it acceptable for PS to only have AAA exclusives in first half of year, but not acceptable for Xbox to have them in the second

And my main point, why do only AAA exclusives count? PS has lower grade exclusives throughout the year but so has Xbox. AAA games aren't the only games out there, you know.

Oh, and Rare Replay was AAA exclusive before Gears of War

Edit: To clarify, by Lower grade I mean not AAA, I don't mean worse games

Haha I forget to put @--- sometimes but I was adressing djplonker for Excusing Sony's lack of AAA games throughout the year because they had one early on, but Xbox having lots later on is deemed bad.

He also acted like AAA games are the only ones that matter which annoys me, especially when Xbox fanboys do it because it makes us look like a bunch of arrogant snobby 'ugh those graphics are bad' idiots when in fact indies (e.g ori) can make for the best experiences

next gen i might wait until a nice bundle comes out.. I really liked the EU MGSV PS4 as well as the 20th anniversary edition.. Oh well, i have a reg black ps4 & can get a face plate or graphic for it if need be.. Those controllers nice highlights
