Legend of Kay isn’t fundamentally flawed at the conceptual level. Rather it's troubled on two fronts: firstly it doesn’t do anything particularly well; and secondly (and more damning for an action-adventure game) it never becomes more than the sum of its parts.
Playasia has deals this week on a mix of modern PS4, PS5, and Switch games like Legend of Kay Anniversary and Doom Eternal along with some retro classics and imports.
If you are in the market for a good action adventure game, Legend of Kay is sadly not going to meet your expectations. It is a decent game that has aged terribly and the efforts to remaster it haven't really brought it up to the current generation standards.
