I've been playing it all morning. Love Geo Wars and this is no different.

Is this anything similar to Ikaruga? I've been playing Ikaruga for countless hours and loved it because it never became unfair. You have to memorize the level and then try to get the best highscore (by collecting chains). It's really rewarding.
So back to my question: is the gameplay similar? Can anyone explain me what you have to do (beside getting the highest score)

Move with left stick, shoot with right basically.

Different from Ikaruga as that's a schmup(sp?) Geometry wars is in a confined area, with enemies spawning around you.... Plus flashing colours :D

You can't predict a whole level and time everything for runs like Ikaruga.

Think Asteroids but on LSD and you get to move about... that's the best I can come up with after playing the damn game til 5am... LOL...

no online play but only local 4 player. Very disappointing...

GW2 is a 8/10 in my books.

I can't beat the 6th mode in sp for the life of me.

Im addicted to this game but i was expecting the multiplayer mode to be online compatible. Not incredibly fussed but just a tad disappointing. Now, back to trying to complete that last mode! (im up to level 18 :@ lol). So hows everyone else getting on with it?

starnge, i thought ALL xbla games had to have online MP, i guess not.

but I think they cut it cuz there's just way too much happening in GeoWars2 to make it accurate for both parties to survive. Even a split second of lag can get you deaded in this game, which would be more frustrating for me than anything. Still... Heavy Weapon has a p!ss ton of objects on screen in later gameplay.. tho it does glitch out after a certain point I've heard... and seen on YouTube.

And whats the difficulty like compared to GW1? I liked the game but i sucked at it. I'm hoping this one is a bit easier.

My 360 is away for repair so I cant play the demo.

well, from the demo it seems easier.(FROM THE DEMO). but apparently people here are complaining about the mission modes being too hard.

been playing the demo all morning and i can't stop, maybe i'll get some points later this after noon and buy the full game

i am a bit annoyed that this game costs 800pts...it should only be 400
its not exactly a high tech game and lack of online mp kinda sucks

i don't mind paying 800 for games which seem to deserve it but this one i'm not so sure

especially looking at the file size...its very small so im not sure what my money is going toward

Had a 360 to play these grate arcade games . geo 2 looks good i played geo 1 and loads of other arcade games this is what ps3 is a bit short of arcade games i guse you pay live fee so you get more. ENJOY XBOTS

so I wasn't terribly disappointed it wasn't in this. Local co-op is great for this game. I think there's simply too much on screen for online co-op to be accurate enough for survival in this game.
