Well at least these guys are actually working with the tool in question, thats something

Kingthrash3603219d ago

My god....Every week we get this. What kills me is Dx12 will impact pc.. and minor impact for xbox. But xbox is always the article pictures they choose....even though most the time the developer is mainly talking about pc. Smh just like the oh xbox out sold ps4 for a week..even though ps4 won the entire month. Smh it's like xbox gets an article for any minor "victory". Just annoying. I'm just glad the cloud articles have stopped...now I can't wait until Dx12 comes so these articles can stop too. Xbox has greater victories and feats than this..but beating the hell out of Dx12 even after its been said by the xbox boss himself that Dx12 will be minor people continue to set themselves up for disappointment.

Kingthrash3603219d ago (Edited 3219d ago )

Lmao....clearly it's a figure of speech...now if I would have said "literally kills me" then your comment wouldn't look so bitter....If you need a explanation to what I'm saying. .When I said kills me...I'm referring to the spin being put on dx12. Most of these Dx12 articles are for pc...but because it will land on xbox in a very minor way, they streamline it to xbox like its purly xbox news.....even though Dx12 is mainly a pc thing..tell me, how many times have you seen a picture of a pc when a dx12 article pops up?..never. im sure you understood me from the moment you read it...you just wanted to insult me because im right.

Pogmathoin3218d ago

It will of course be a huge benefit for PC, but lets wait and see what level of improvements it will do for X1.

GameNameFame3218d ago (Edited 3218d ago )

Lets stop grasping at straws here. MS themselves said it was mostly for PC. Not really for X1. Yes, both the dev engineer and Spencer.

How many secret sauces do we need to go through over a very minor improvements that regular consoles see over its life time?

People got excited about some super SDK update on X1. Project Car dev said there will be update to utilize SDK update. People spin this up.

Guess what happens? It got minor bump on X1 and bigger bump on PS4. Yes. PS4 was getting better tools too. Its just no one desperate hope that is some secret sauce.

After 2 years for dozen secret sauces. Gap hasn't closed. It increased.

@Kingthrash360

I'm actually looking forward to DX12 on PC since I hear that people using two or more graphics cards will be able to stack VRAM. That would be amazing for me as I'm using two GTX 980s in SLI. Being able to stack VRAM will give me about 8GB of it if it's true. This is what I'm most excited about. There will be an impact for XB1 though, but at this point no one knows what it will be until it happens.

sinjonezp3218d ago

What kills me if you read the article , the comment states "we are excited about dx12.....but we are not using it." It's generic. I am sure any dev would be excited with new tools but turn 10 is just stating the obvious. If they said, "we were able to achieve Etc etc because of dx12." I might have been intrigued, otherwise this article is much a do about the already known. I am however anxious to see the visual fidelity of forza 6 and how the engine holds up.

I can only believe the opposite of anything turn 10 says

Fro_xoxo3219d ago

The game is looking gorgeous and it's still able to pull off 60 frames. A technical achievement on XO.

Seems a massively impressive engine. Horizon 2 at 1080p with 4xMSAA put it head and shoulders above what others are achieving with the hardware, and Forza 6's 1080p60 does it again. Turn 10 made a deal with the devil for a magic rendering pipeline or something.

Wonder how viable it would be to repurpose the engine for other genres?

Even though these articles by Gamingbolt are kind of redundant and keep using 1080p and fps to stir up the pot, I do agreed with this article as Turn-10 are wizards in what they can pull off from an Xbox hardware.

FORZA 4 on X360 was one of best technical achievement on the entire console and looks like Turn 10 are at it again. This has 24 cars on track with night and rain effect and still maintaining 1080p and 60fps is just plain awesome and show just how talented they are in only 2 years of development time.

Games like sports and racing, you really only need one for an entire year and Forza 5 no doubt will be the racer to get this year on xb1.

javauns3219d ago

They had a made a comment about forza 5 basically saying that it was like that because they rushed it so it could become a launch title.

Top 10 Rarest Cars in Forza History

KeenGamer: "See the top 10 rarest cars to ever appear in Forza history! Thousands of cars have been featured in Forza since launch and only a handful of them have been really difficult to obtain or, in current state, impossible to drive around with. Although they were once obtainable, it's only for a limited time and, most times, for a certain price."

What's the benefit of delisting games? Curious.

Italiano12345671729d ago

Theres no benefit. They just dont renew the licenses for the songs and cars so after the 15th u cant buy it

mandingo1729d ago (Edited 1729d ago )

Oh licenses. That makes sense. So if you have it digitally already you can still play it you just cant buy it?

Cobra9511729d ago (Edited 1729d ago )

Yeah, the expiring-licenses thing is a blight on the scene. There literally ought to be a law. Once something is licensed for a product, it should never become an impediment later on. Simple consumer protection. In racing games, both the cars and the music would be locked in place. The developer can't add newer car models, or different songs. I don't see why that would hurt the profits of car companies or artists. Newer games would have to license the newer cars and songs, or even the same ones.

Edit: mandingo, that's right.

rainslacker1728d ago (Edited 1728d ago )

Saving on licensing costs.

@cobra

They could pay more for perpetual licenses, but after 4 years, chances are they arent going to be making much of a return on the game anymore.

lodossrage1729d ago

again, a music license issue. This is the same reason Driveclub is getting delisted next year.

I'm sorry, but if music rights can be the cause of a product being delisted, they need to either have unlicensed music because this is ridiculous. This is actually another reason to be concerned about an all-digital future.

bolimekurac1729d ago

or hopefully when ugly things stick their head out like this music license issue, that the companies do the right thing and find a solution so this doesnt happen, then we can complain if they dont. Digital games is fairly new so why dont we first see if the companies fix these issues that pop up. not that we shouldnt be heard and to let them know about these issues but at least lets not attack them for no reason

lodossrage1729d ago

@bolimekurac,

They've already had years to deal with this. This isn't the first instance of license music altering a game in some form. Crazy Taxi wasn't even allowed to be released with the original soundtrack and many of the real world stores in the game were cut for licenses.

I know it's not exactly' the same, but the issues is close enough that the industry as a whole should have realized this would be a problem even back in the ps3/ 360 era win crazy taxi was re-released for modern day.

traumadisaster1729d ago (Edited 1729d ago )

Oh crap idk about drive club, I’m so glad you mentioned it, and I just happen to be in this article. I’ve been wanting that game but was waiting until ps5 to get it. Now i need to check into this cause hell I’ll buy it now if I need to.

It looks like there is a hard copy version, so I can pick that up cheap, the online stuff which I don’t usually do is what goes away in 2020, and it can’t be bought on psn

KickSpinFilter1728d ago

Oh you should def get Driveclub such a great game now after server/updates. One of my all time fav racers. Nice mix of Arcade/Sim. Not Sim, Arcade or Sim/Arcade.

rainslacker1728d ago

I'd highly recommend bikes if you get driveclub. Lots of fun. The vr version is also good if you have psvr.

About the only thing you're going to lose with the delisting is the online functions as well. Driveclub is playable in SP with lots of content though. It's just being part of a club and user challenges or throw downs won't be available after they shut down the servers.

DaDrunkenJester1729d ago

Or it's not that big of a deal since it's a long running franchise and there is already the newer versions you can still buy. If you already own FM6 you can still play it.

spicelicka1729d ago

This is a definitely a huge concern for an all-digital future. Along the fact that they can control whatever price they want you to pay even 5 years later, like Destiny and Call of Duty. You can't even buy the original games anymore, they just re-bundle them and force you to pay full price again.

WiiU-Dude1728d ago

It happens in other entertainment too. I have seen DVD series held up for years because of music licensing issues. It is annoying. I agree with the person that it should be a one time deal. With the creation of a product, things like music licensing should be done with that product going forward. Such a headache apparently.

Good thing physical copies will always exist for purchase in a thriving used game market.

CobraKai1728d ago

There’s at least 3 people who like games being delisted; never to be played again.

Software_Lover1728d ago

But you still have to download the data unfortunately...…..

traumadisaster1729d ago

I just bought this a few months ago on a very cheap sale, then I think recently it was added to game pass.
