Complain about crucible (PVP) being broken proceed to embed a video about a PVE strike.

Poli_Games3241d ago

Oh ain't touching pvp for a while. While I record videos I find it to distracting to try to talk about an issue and get my thoughts out. While at the same time try and focus on playing the map and killin people. With PvE stuff it's much easier and a bit more mindless, so I can focus on the topic at hand. :3

Shotguns are really the only viable secondary weapon as they can kill in one shot. If the shot doesn't kill them a quick melee follow up will.

Sniping is another option but being that you have to sit and wait for enemies means you wont have as many chances to kill and you also aren't helping out with the objectives of the match.

Fusion rifles are just garbage now.

Thorn? Yeah its OP, but i use auto rifles and do very well. Especially Suros and Hard Light.

Poli_Games3241d ago

Great input! I enjoy the suros a lot, maybe one of my favorites. Thorn needs that tweak though the ticks it puts out are a bit to harsh

Avernus3241d ago

You use Suros and Hardlight and "do very well"? in PvE? Because this set up is a joke. ARs are garbage. I'll tell you for a fact that any half decent player with a Last Word or Thorn will beat you in a gunfight without even trying hard.

CorndogBurglar3241d ago (Edited 3241d ago )

No not in PvE. The article is talking about Crucible. I use Suros or Hard Light in PvP.

And you can say what you want, but yes I usually finish very well. Are you forgetting that there are actual objectives as well as killing involved? Because that adds to your points as well.

I didn't say I'm unbeatable, but if you think Thorn or the Last Word are the only guns people can do well with then you are simply jaded.

Avernus3241d ago

Objectives? LOL... you obviously know nothing about Crucible. Salvage can literally be won without winning a single relic cap, and Control can be won, while having only 1 cap.

Objectives in Destiny mean nothing. You're never going to do well in Trials or IB with an AR. You'll get kills maybe, pick a couple off that were weak, or kill terrible players, but you're NEVER going to outgun a Thorn or Last Word with an AR vs a player of similar skill to yours. Simple DPS would tell you that.

As much as I love ARs, I have to agree that any decent player will beat you with a hand canon. I use to use ARs a lot in PvP, but would get my butt handed to me by a person with a hand canon. So I switch to hawkmoon or word of crota.
Plus, most PvP players play to get kills. I have been in control games where no one would try to get the objective. One guy had 38 kills and no capturing.

all destiny players and cod players play with the same rules and weapons..if you have low ping atleast less than 65ms and still cant beat them learn the pattern players uses and try to do some damage....or enjoy the awesome pve with some friends...

Avernus3241d ago (Edited 3241d ago )

You missed the whole point of the article. It's not about playing tactical, it's about the weapon balance in PvP being an utter joke. Besides, there's no tactics in Destiny lol. Run at people with shotgun > blink / slide > OHK them / melee them with bugged out Backstab perk.

Knushwood Butt3241d ago

Did seem like run around and melee or shotgun when I played Control last night.

Wouldn't normally bother but am after an element that you can only get in crucible or raids.

Avernus3241d ago (Edited 3241d ago )

Every Destiny pub game you see Thorns, Last Word, and whatever high impact shotgun with Shot package and a range perk.

That's it. There's no variety in Destiny crucible...for months now. They nerfed ARs to the point where they're a joke, shotguns have these broken perks that can be rolled onto them, and exotic Handcannons are kings. Pulse rifles make a cameo appearance here or there, but in all honesty, a couple of them are broken too!

Destiny is a medium health game, you shouldn't be OHK by a shotgun from stupid ranges. You shouldn't be 2 shotted by handcannons in a matter of .5 seconds, you shouldn't be 2 bursted by a Pulse rifle. The whole meta of crucible has gone to shite. I stopped playing Destiny, as all I used to play was PvP.

It's so 1 dimensional now, it's boring. I'm tired of seeing handcannons, and HAVING to use one to stay competitive. Hard to believe these are the same people that made Halo. SMH

As much as I love destiny. The only game I felt got multiplayer right was call of duty modern warfare 2. I dunno but that game was very balanced.

Cheat providers for competitive games should be illegal.

This is what developers and manufacturers should do. I know going after cheat devices/makers is a cat and mouse game, and cost money. However, they can get that money back by sueing these manufacturers of cheat devices. Take a page from Nintendo's playbook.
