MSXBox writes: "The game play and story are very forgettable, and the games brightest point, the multi player, won't shine enough to make this a must have game. I was throughly disappointed with the direction Frogger 2 took after having fond memories of the original. If your in the mood to play a game with your little green buddy Frogger, save 400 Microsoft points and download the original version. And here is the question of the ages......Why would they make a game with a frog that doesn't know how to swim?"
According to Microsoft’s Major Nelson latest tweet, the latest round of backwards compatible games are here. If you own any of the following titles (or purchase them), you will be able to download them now:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution — Director’s Cut
Final Fight: Double Impact
Faery: Legends of Avalon
Frogger 2
Puzzlegeddon
Backwards compatibility is starting to blow up. I bet publishers are seeing increased sales from older titles.
lame..no Black Ops 1
Deus Ex HR was always on there this is just the Directors Cut.
Anyone underwhelmed about BC titles lately have to understand that MS is probably waiting for BC blowout during their E3 press conference. Black Ops, Bioshock and other big titles have already been confirmed for BC at some point. Read Dead and other long rumored. I'll be very surprised if we don't see many of the most requested BC games announced at E3.
DSOGaming writes: "Back in March, we informed you about RPCS3 running a commercial PS3 game. Well, here is some good news for X360 fans as Ben Vanik has released a video for Xenia (a working Xbox 360 emulator), showcasing his emulator running a commercial game for the first time."
Not only is this a promising emulator, but it's also a permanent solution for the 3RRoD.
Thats pretty cool. Except for GTA V and some racers, I cant think of too many games I would play that didnt port over to PC already.
" Well, here is some good news for X360 fans "
You mean for people that can't afford a Xbox 360?
Its a tad slow. Does anyone know the hardware requirements for proper 360 emulation?
Edit: waiting for smart ass "an Xbox 360 duh" response lol.
Console Monster writes: "Do you know there have been a total of two other Frogger games bearing the name 'Frogger 2'? No, nor did I and after playing Frogger 2 for the Xbox Live Arcade, I'd rather give those others a miss.
I seem to be picking the short straw when it comes to reviewing these Arcade titles because yet again we have another duff title on our hands. At the crazy price of 800 Microsoft Points it doesn't come cheap either and one would have to wonder if this'll land in the 'Games to be removed' by Microsoft pile; despite it only being released as they announced this particular method of removing older titles.
For those who aren't aware, Frogger is a frog..."
