Releasing new screenshots, Daedalic Entertainment announced that an official website for The Whispered World is now live with the latest info and a community forum.
XMNR: "Each year there are a slew of high profile games developed by the biggest names in the gaming industry that gamers absolutely go nuts for. We mark our calendars, salivate over screen shots and eat up every second of gameplay footage released during the months before its release, and when that glorious day finally arrives, we rush off at midnight so we can play it for a few hours before reluctantly trudging off to school or work."
Whispered World....such a beautiful game that probably no one ever even thought about playing.
It's good to see some of the smaller games get recognition. Fragile Dreams was pretty good, as was Skycrawlers and Lunar: SSH.
Dunno about some of the other choices though. EA SPorts MMA was kind of crap.
I wish Ninja Theory had more balls and just created Heavenly Sword 2. HS sold 1.5+ million copies to date and they complained about it so they went multiplatform. They released Enslaved and I dont even think to this day it managed to make 500,000. Now they are ruining the Devil May Cry series with that pitiful emo Dante. Another game they are missing on this list. Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom.
Adventure games are making a comeback. Whispered World for the PC is a whimsical looking game, with beautiful animations, but does it play just as well? Read GameZone's review to find out.
The art direction is unique, I'll say that. But when voice-acting is terrible, it bugs the hell out of me.
Nothing worse than an adventure game with bad voice acting, since you wind up having to hear so much of it! :(
