This was like a total surprise to me, I dont think that anyone was even thinking about or even hoping for a new Ghost Recon game. First I thought it was a new FC game, then I saw it was in third person.

I still hope that the world is actually interesting and breathing and not like the world is in FC3/4. Making such a open world is challenging but Im curious to see how it turns out. The reveal was a really pleasant surprise.

Loved the gameplay they showed. So many things to do it looks like. Vehicles look like a ton of fun. Just planning out a mission and completing separate objectives in coop sounds amazing though. Also, skydiving <3

This is also probably the best looking game I saw at E3. Sure, there was Uncharted, but the open world environments they showcased at the end of the trailer looked... insane.

The draw distance was some ridiculous level. There was tesselation and occlusion mapping EVERYWHERE. High res textures. Perfect AO and some really complex lighting from what I could see. Screenspace reflections were also there... +Every other postprocess feature you can think of.

That was probably running on some monster of a PC. I just hope they leave these options in for those with beefy rigs.

Should I remind you that the majority of Ubisoft games were never downgraded?

Seriously, I'm so tired of people acting like Ubisoft games all get downgraded. Most don't. Even the ones that did get downgraded, like Watch Dogs and Far Cry 3, still end up looking amazingly good. Far Cry 3 was one of the best looking games I played on PC for some time, and Watch Dogs is also one of the best-looking open world games I've played.

I'd rather a developer be over-ambitious and have to trim a few things back than to shoot too low from the beginning. Ubisoft games are consistently some of the best looking multiplatform games around. I'm not going to get all bent out of shape over some downgrades when the games still come out and look better than most other games. Especially when we usually know about the changes for months or years before the games release anyway.

People can hate on Ubisoft all they want to. And I personally don't care what the graphics come out looking like, this game is gonna be amazing. Ghost Recon has never really been that stellar in the graphics department, it's always been about the gameplay. And I for one am super ecstatic about this one!

Unity was not downgraded. The game looks amazing and every bit as good as the earlier gameplay footage. On PC it's still probably the best looking open world game yet released.

Watch Dogs was downgraded in some ways, but it's still a really fantastic looking game. I was playing it on my PC the other day and I was surprised just how good it looks. I guess the haters on the Internet started to affect my perception of the game and I forgot how good it actually looks.

I am a big Ghost Recon fan, but I never managed to play Future Soldier. The new game looks interesting, and I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this one.
