Hardcore Gamer: XY-- Ancient Origins cards are making their way to decks on August 12 and features several key changes. There are 8 Mega Evolutions including Tyranitar and Hoopa. Legendary Pokémon come in shiny forms along with different Ancient Traits. Other Pokémon receive Ancient Traits and there are 14 new trainer cards coming to the set.

A new expansion to the Pokemon card trading game- called "Shining Fates" is coming in February.

From the series’ staple, Pokémon games that started with the (Red/Blue) Versions to spin-off titles and even its many mobile releases all seem to continue the success of one of gamings most popular franchises to date. With all of this success and the increasing popularity of Nintendo’s hybrid console, it is surprising to see that there hasn’t been any attempt to bring over one of the Pokémon sub-series over to the device and we are left to wonder if we will see a Pokémon TCG title ever make its way to the Nintendo Switch."
