Forget Assassin’s Creed Hitman Is The Real Assassin Of E3 2015

"Io-Interactive says it designs its levels like Swiss cheese, because there are so many entrances and exits everywhere as well as other holes that players will be able to use to sneak in or out of a room. The developer wants to let would be assassins play this new Hitman however they want, and after seeing the demo at E3 the way I want to play it is right now. Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait until Hitman’s digital release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 8. A boxed retail release is still being planned for a later date in 2016."

True. AC games have terrible portrayal of what an assassin is. An assassin is no parkour freak. He's a guy who kills in a stealthy manner using his opportunities that presents itself.

He's a guy who can undress, remove an unconcious person's outfit and put it all on in under 4 seconds... Adam West's Batman wasn't that fast, and he had a magic firepole!

Hitman would be another of my day 1ers, but I'm gonna wait for the boxed version... I'm still a big Assassin's Creed fan, so Syndicate will have to satisfy my holiday bloodlust.

I LOVED Bloodmoney, and it's great that 47 is finally getting back to high-profile contracts in swanky sandbox locations... Diana's dossiers, briefcase rifles and Eurotrash - it looks like a real return to form.

That said, I do hope they keep some of Absolution's systems... The controls were great, and I thought the 'instinct' mechanic worked well - I played on 'Purist' (just a crosshair, no saves, no recharging instinct) which was truly challenging.

I know they're bringing Contracts mode back... it was cool in Absolution, but it'll be way cooler with big, open stages.

Eidos are on-form... Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Hitman are three of my ultimate franchises and they've each got kickass-looking titles on the way.

Good times are coming!

Who needs 2 kill people when Batman just punches people & kick ass while chewing bubble gum

ThichQuangDuck3239d ago

He kills people if you buy the 2nd season pass

I just hope it keeps the focused feel of Absolution

It’s the 25th anniversary this year?

I’d have assumed it would have gotten something like a remastered trilogy of the original games or a remake of the first game. Something for a 25th celebration.

A Deep Dive On all Things Hitman With The Voices Behind Agent 47 And Diana Burnwood

From PSU: "Ten years ago, the Hitman franchise was in a transitory state. Blood Money had become something of a classic and with Hitman Absolution there was a clear decision to push IO Interactive’s assassination sim series to a whole new level. That experimental, often divisive, entry turned out to be pivotal in what would follow.

Elements of Absolution, such as its accessibility and player-created content, would be mixed with the more traditional Hitman games’ sense of murderous creativity to birth the Hitman Trilogy 0f 2016-2021. A series that would take its creators on a turbulent journey of publisher changes, independence, and the eventual triumph of being handed the tantalizing 007 license."
