The movie looks good, but I don't think this is the best idea. Sounds like a True Crime knockoff at this point (which then makes it a GTA knockoff in my eyes as well). At best Meh/4 stars.

Righteous Kill (Mac) | FTG Review

FTG Writes: When we bring a rookie detective into the task force, there’s an unwritten rule between us pensioners: screw with the rookie every way you can. At some point, you get tired of all the cocky upstarts that think they know it all. Little do they know, most of them will wash out within the year. What we do isn’t so much “hazing” as it is preparing them for the real world. Not every case is guts and glory like they’d make you believe on TV or in the movies. Most of ‘em boil down to grunt work that no one really wants to do. So why not make the rooks do ‘em? Let them run around thinking that every crummy piece of evidence is going to break their case. We stone wardens have put in our time around here, so why not have a good laugh while the newbies earn their keep? That’s how we have a little fun around here at the Righteous Kill division.
